I have used ONE and the same email address for my personal (free) account AND for a Zoom One Pro account on behalf of the company. I am not able to acces the Zoom One Pro account (only the personal one /default).

can't change profile settings and background

Hello. For some reason I can't change my display name and background in my basic Zoom account. I changed it in profile settings and pressed save. Next time I joined a meeting it was the old display name and background.

My organisation has been trying to cancel a Webinar package for 4 months now. Despite multiple calls, emails, chats with their support line, and filling out forms, they haven't been able to complete this very simple request.

 

Are considering moving away from using Zoom entirely based on this experience, as we have had far better support from Microsoft Teams.

I finally was able to speak to a real person and paid for Zoom pro with my credit card as every time I tried to purchase the product, zoom took me back to the log in page. After logging in AGAIN, a screen comes up with "a one time passcode verification code has been sent to your email."  This never arrived - I tried every day for 3 days - and no it didn't end up in my junk email. So after speaking with the person, I handed over my credit card details. next day tried to log in and got the same message - "a one time passcode verification code has been sent to your email."  Trying to find the right place on the zoom website to email my issues is IMPOSSIBLE.  Does anyone out there know where to get help so I can use my zoom account?

Over the years, we've found several extremely helpful features in the Zoom platform that are not exposed by default. The only way to find out about these is by combing KB articles and looking for fine-print that specifies the features must manually be enabled by request.

 

Some examples:

Even HD video ("Group HD" at the time) was previously request-only (this one appeared to be an attempt to limit bandwidth from customers wherever possible).

 

First off, um... why? The admin portal is already [or should ideally be] a place where people shouldn't be poking around - proceeding at one's own risk is part of the admin's inherent responsibility. With this in mind, the restriction can't/shouldn't be a childproof lock. What exactly is to be gained by limiting default administrative features that don't require additional licensing? Why is one feature considered more 'need-to-know' than the hundreds of others that we have at our disposal by default?

 

While we might not be able to do away with the feature enablement request process entirely, one small courtesy that we can request of Zoom is to comprehensively list all features that can be manually enabled on the back-end by request, as to simplify the process. Please write to your support teams if this is something that interests/affects you and your users!!
