Am I alone in misunderstanding the design of Zoom Mail?  I just added on a small environment to test and evaluate.  The FIRST thing I discover when sending an email to my gmail account, is that the message arrives into my gmail recipient as a "Zoom Mail Notification"!!  I view that Notification and then find that I have to click a button in that email which then directs me to a webview of the original email.  Is it me or this crazy??!!!!!!  I have to be missing something because there cannot possibly be a billion dollar company with pretty good technology....that forgot how email works.

How do recipients reply to Zoom emails??  Reply to the Notification??  Every email from Zoom has the same subject...."Zoom Email Notification".  You wouldn't even know which email you're replying to.

Look, I get it that there are use-cases where one wants to send an encrypted email....and anybody on an enterprise email platform has that intrinsic ability through the host email platform or an add-on mail filter product.  So yes, there are times when we WANT this 'secure envelope' behavior and most people understand what to do when they receive one of those.  But I'm dumbfounded that Zoom would do this.

Am I missing something??!!! (AIMS??!!!)

I'm currently in the job search process and have encountered this problem three separate times now.

1) The recruiter/hiring manager sends me a regular email saying they scheduled our meeting via Zoom.

2) I do not receive an invitation via email from Zoom, nor does the meeting appear on my Zoom schedule on the desktop app/web app or Google Calendar. An invite email is not in my Spam/Junk folder.

3) I email the recruiter/hiring manager asking them to resend the invitation or meeting link, but they assure me I was sent the invitation and they can see me as "accepted" on their end.

4) I have to ask them to send the meeting details via email anyway, which makes me look entirely unprofessional.

Is this a known issue? How can I ensure my email is whitelisted by Zoom? I did the "test email" function with the chat bot, which are delivered, but I don't get any other Zoom emails.

When I schedule a meeting via my Zoom desktop app, an email is automatically created in my outlook and I send it off. Previously, the email had a nice Zoom logo and layout, but since October the email has only had boring text and a link to the meeting. How do I get the Zoom logo and layout back in the email?
I'm not interested in customising the email with my own logo.

Hi

I just created a new recurring meeting using the windows zoom app. Normally I send an email to the person who is joining the meeting to confirm the details. The meeting are all synced to my google calendar. I usually copy the invite by clicking the 3 dots on the zoom app homepage next to the meeting and selecting copy invite, then paste this into the email to be sent.

However zoom is now adding loads of lines of unnecessary  text to the invite like this -

Please download and import the following iCalendar (.ics) files to your calendar system.

Weekly: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/tZ0ud-yupzIrHNOezihhCuDOXaO2B15c9hho/ics?icsToken=DMWHPf7QzJE2r5yFewAALAAAAJU  ...... ( + more deleted for security)

How do I stop Zoom adding this unwanted text into my invitation??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

🙂

I’ve been using Zoom for four years, primarily scheduling and hosting my meetings on my PC via Chrome. However, over the past few months, I started experiencing issues where my meetings would freeze. Attendees couldn’t hear or see me, though I could still hear them. I reached out to Zoom support, and they recommended downloading the Zoom app for my PC and using it for meetings.

After installing the app, I noticed my calendar is now linked to my Gmail account, which I don’t use. Previously, when I used the web client, it was synced with my Outlook calendar. I’m trying to find a way to connect the Zoom app with my Outlook calendar instead of my Google calendar.
