My team only needs a Zoom account for one year.

 

It does not seem possible to turn off auto-renew, so we are thinking to cancel and just let the account run out at the end of the 12-month period for which we have paid.

 

I can find no clear answer as to whether cancellation is effective immediately or whether we can continue using the account until our paid period has ended. The documentation seems to say that we will lose access to recordings immediately.

 

I have tried to reach a Zoom account manager without success. Can anyone tell me whether cancelling our account will just effectively turn off auto-renew or whether we would lose access immediately?

hace un mes compré zoom por que lo necesitaba, lo utilicé solo 1 vez (3 días después de comprar el plan). Hoy me cobró el plan, se me olvidó que tenía que cancelarlo. Lo cancelé en seguida y me dió la opción de reembolso. Ya me aparece la versión gratis, igualmente, casi de inmediato me llegó un mensaje de que se había realizado el reembolso pero en mi cuenta bancaria no me ha llegado nada. ¿Debo esperar más tiempo a que realicen el reembolso o qué puedo hacer para reclamarlo?

A few years ago, a client added me to their professional Zoom account and my basic account still seems to be linked to theirs. The client ceased to exist and also claims the zoom account is no longer existing and that they don't have further access to it. However in my account they are still the "owner" and for example I cannot share whiteboards to anyone else. Anyone got a solution on how to unlink if I am not the owner?

Hi, I am a host in a zoom call, and I am trying to watch a youtube video (I do not want to share the video/screen). When I play the video while on call, the sound of the video is reduced (even at full volume) while the audio in the call has proper sound. I can't seem to listen to the youtube video sound, and meeting sound at the same volume, as the meeting volume is always higher than the video, no matter what volume I am at. When I leave the meeting, I am able to hear the video properly, is there any settings i can adjust to hear them both (meeting and youtube video) at the same volume?
P.S. I'm using Dell, Windows 11

Completely locked out of account due to "Educational Data Collection Practices"

I had to set up a new FREE account to make this post. I am the President of our elementary school PTA and we have a PAID Zoom Account that we purchased at the end of May. Somehow we have been locked out of our account because apparently we didn't fill out a form about "Educational Data Collection Practices" that we were completely unaware of. The account worked just fine for a month and then stopped working. I have called customer service and they have said they don't know how to help but put in a ticket for me. That was 3 days ago. No follow up. No resolution. We are still completely locked out of an account we paid for. Please help unlock this account! Below is the error message we get when we try to log in. We have filled out the form but still no resolution. There are no children involved with our PTA account. It is simply for adult pta members to have meetings. There is no suggestion on how to get the PAID account re-instated or released from this lock. 

 

Your Account Has Been Locked

The Educational Data Collection Practices document was not signed by the required date of Jun 28, 2024. An email with directions for completing the education account activation process has been sent to ***********. The recipient of the email has to provide consent to Zoom's Educational Data Collection Practices to restore access to your account.
Until this consent has been recorded, users in your account will be unable to sign into Zoom. If this consent is not signed by Jul 28, 2024 the account may be deleted.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get customer support here?  For a week and a half I've been trying to downgrade my account.  When I finally connected with a support person at day 6, she overcharged me by $200.  I emailed her to let her know this happened immediately, but I haven't heard any response since.  I've called the support line again, and it seems that I've been put in the automated queue once more.  My contract has ended, and I'd really like to get my payment handled.  I'm shocked at the lack of customer service with this.  It really reflects poorly on the company, and it's taking away from my other work as a small business owner.  I really just want this handled.  Any suggestions you have are welcome.  If I don't get it completed asap, I'm going back to GoToMeeting.  Thanks so much.
