Here is the current state of the toolbar for Zoom meetings as of 20231024

I use Zoom as a medium for teaching remotely and I don't want students to be distracted with all of these things.
Things that are helpful for the participants (not hosts & co-hosts)
Mute, Video, Participants, Chat, Share Screen, Breakout Rooms, Reactions

We add security, polls, and record for hosts & co-hosts.

Is there a way to for us to hide the less useful functions so they do not take up space on the toolbar?

I know this is possible for some features because I removed the Zoom Apps button using preferences.

Can we please get the ability to remove the other non-essentials from the toolbar?
Summary, AI Companion, Whiteboards, and Notes

Here is what those buttons do for the users now (since I have the features disabled)

Summary:

AI Companion:

I'm not sure what meeting participants see when I have Notes and Whiteboard disabled.
I suppose it is good that you are trying to add features and functions to zoom, but please let us opt in without overcomplicating the toolbar for our participants.

Resolved! Assigning Co-host before meeting

I can't find in the FAQ that how I can assign a co-host BEFORE the meeting.  I'd appreciate if someone can tell me I could do this.  There is a set-up in the template but I got a response that I cannot do that for some reason. THX

Yesterday, when I was in my account settings, on Zoom.us, reviewing my AI Companion settings, there was an "Upcoming update" banner stating:  "Beginning on July 25, 2024, Zoom will automatically enable AI Companion features for your account.  To keep the current feature settings, you can select "Do not auto-enable" prior to July 21, 2024."

I have shared this with colleagues, and it does not appear on their account.   How can we find it or where can they select "Do not auto-enable"?

Since zoom offered to sell me a scheduler, which I have not taken up, my current scheduler which has aways worked fine on Outlook keeps reminding me that meetings that have already taken place are overdue.  This has been going on for a the last week and I have had to resort to deleting the meetings once they have taken place.  I dismiss the reminder and it comes back again. help!

Our internet source is Comcast Cable

We us a Apple laptop to record and stream regular worship service where there is only on speaker at a time.  The stream freezes, skips, stops, and sometimes totally drops during recording.  We also implement Zoom during Sunday School, Bible Study and meetings where both the facilitator and students speak.  Does anyone know of a reason this may be happening?  I am suggesting moving from cable internet source to fiber optics; however, I believe there may be zoom settings that may help short term.  Are there any other suggestions for zoom settings.  There is usually 25 to 35 Sunday School students.

Hello ZOOMERS,

We are having this issue and no idea how to go about it. Few colleagues have complained that when they add participants of a meeting to a break out room, the participants cannot hear each other but when they are back in the main room, then they do hear each other... I have never encountered this type of issue before... any help will be appreciated.

Steps I have adviced colleagues so far:
1. s to tell participants to make sure they are using the latest version of the app.
2. To make sure they have a stbale internet connection
3. to ensure they have the right audio settings

Colleagues uses Dell windows with zoom version 5.17.29
thanks

I use a single account to create scheduled meetings for all users.

My other users are generic Room 01, Room 02, etc.

When I click the dropdown for "Schedule For" the sorting of the "users" is all out of order, even though the users  were created and added in order.

What I see is -

Myself

Room 05

Room 02

Room 03

Room 04

Room 01

While currently this does not cause an issue, I can see where it will become an issue in the future. Is there a method to sort these appropriately?
