I have been trying, without success, to install the Desktop client on my Windows 10 PC.

This had been working well until last night, when the client informed me I needed to update to the latest version.

I tried this, but the installation failed.

Since then I have completely uninstalled the app, downloaded the new version from Zoom site and tried to install again.

The installation fails during the initialisation stage. It never starts the installation itself. The progress bar gets to about 50% and then the initialisation window just disappears. I have tried various things, clearing cache and cookies, turning off account protection, running as administrator but all to no avail.

Has anyone any new ideas that might help me, please?

Recurring Meetings are still disappearing from schedule

This happens way too often. I'll sit down to begin hosting a recurring meeting and it is GONE. Disappeared from my schedule. It happens every few months, randomly - never the same meeting. This time, the meeting doesn't even appear in "previous" meet... Show more

This happens way too often. I'll sit down to begin hosting a recurring meeting and it is GONE. Disappeared from my schedule. It happens every few months, randomly - never the same meeting.  This time, the meeting doesn't even appear in "previous" meetings.  Now, I have to inconvenience my clients once again and set them up with a new meeting id and password.  WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN AND WHY DOESN'T ZOOM FIX IT??? Clearly, I am not the only one that this happens to. Please fix it.

1.How do you Invite new members to a meeting invite without it updating everyone attending (i.e those who have already accepted. I will be inviting attendees over a few weeks after speaking to them.

2. How do you keep all attendees private in the meeting invite (I.e. no one can see who else is attending except the host)?

It is fine in the meeting itself to see their names but I do not wish for everyone to be able to see everyone’s email addresses as this is a privacy issue. Thanks

Registrants are not exporting properly from Zoom meeting with registration

Globe icon not appearing during the meeting

Hi, I have Pro Business License, I have the language interpretation function enabled, but the icon (the globe) is not showing up on my dashboard during the meeting.  Where did it go?  Can someone please assist with this?

Hello, I scheduled a large Zoom meeting that is a client event for work, using registration. Can I use the exact same meeting link to practice with the meeting host/presenters (a day or more ahead of time), or will this mess up my scheduled meeting? ... Show more

I scheduled a large Zoom meeting that is a client event for work, using registration. Can I use the exact same meeting link to practice with the meeting host/presenters (a day or more ahead of time), or will this mess up my scheduled meeting? 

 

I have seen similar questions asked here, but want to be sure the scenario is exactly the same.

Unable to move participant into breakout room

We have a large training that we are running (~110-115 people). During these meetings, I make all facilitators and notetakers co-host so that they can mute people and troubleshoot issues in their breakout rooms, including moving people into the tech room.

 

In our training this week we had to keep one team in the main room since the interpretation does not move into breakout rooms.

 

When we set up breakout rooms, we set it to automatically move people to their room when we open the breakouts.

 

However, we had a problem with several people not moving to their room and staying in the main room. The other problem we had is when people lost their connection and returned to the meeting, neither my tech team nor the co-host in the main room was able to move those people into either the tech room or their specific breakout. They just lingered until something aligned in the universe and they finally moved.

 

Can anyone explain this and give me suggestions on how we might prevent this from happening in the future?

Resolved! Waiting Room won't turn off

Hi there,

 

I have tried and tried again to turn off the waiting room in my Zoom account, and even though the settings show it to be off, and show that participants can join without the host, it never works.

 

Any suggestions?

Using latest version of free Zoom with latest version of Firefox, on a Windows 10 PC I cannot join meetings. When I input the meeting ID, or the ID associated with my account, Zoom either takes me to the Firefox homepage on the tab I am using, closes that tab, or shuts down the entire browser. In addition to accessing from a regular tab, I have attempted to access from a private tab, a private window, and even through TOR, without success.
