We need to get new desk phones as the ones we have now are at the EOL. We just need a basic desk phone that we can use to make and receive calls, place people on hold, and transfer calls to others in our Zoom phone system. We don't need the latest and greatest, but we need something that will last as new upgrades with Zoom happen. We don't want to buy phones and then have to rebuy them a year from now due to EOL. Looking for low-cost suggestions for our nonprofit. Thanks for any and all help!

Hi, ever since our Zoom Phone Appliances got updated to 5.16.0 the incoming call notification is now a small popup, instead of displaying in full screen like it used to.

Especially in the second photo (a Poly CXX 400) details are missing from call, like actual caller ID number (something we like to see a lot)

 

Does anyone know how to get it back to the old full screen notification?

Thin OS listed as Linux instead of Windows on Zoom VDI app

This is going to be a pretty niche issue. So lately, users in my company have been having an issue where if they call some one or receive a call, they can hear the other person but the other person cant hear them, most likely the mic not connecting.

 

Our setup is using Wyse 5070 Thinclients to RDP into vms, each vm is specific to one user. The biggest problem with this issue is that its intermittent and cant be recreated, it just happens randomly so its hard to troubleshoot. And apparently after today, we found out its not creating any event logs even though when the issue occurs, if you try to open the sound settings on windows, the settings app freezes and then you get kicked out of your vm. I have posted the same problem on Dell forums and VMware forums and awaiting more solutions, BUT, in the dell forum, a user told me to update the thinclients BIOS, thinOS, microsoft AVD, and zoom AVD package. (which is what I assume is the plugin). After doing so, the issue occured for my coworker when I called him, he also had the updated thin client but he also had an update zoom app (I did not). upon looking into my settings I found that my plugin is disconnected because I update the plugin before the app. So I went ahead and updated the zoom vdi and the normal client apps.

Now one peculiar thing stood out for me is that when I go into the statistics tab in the settings (initially did this to find out if a spike in hardware usage was causing this, sadly not) I noticed under VDI that the Thin Client OS Version is listed as Linux, even though we are all using Windows 10. Now I dont know if this is relevant or if its causing the issue but its one thing I would like to remedy since I am on a trial and error knocking one possible solution off at a time till I get the correct result.

Any idea how to do this? Picture attached shows what I mean

Resolved! Call Control not activaing on the Zoom app Settings -> Phone -> Call Control

Zoom incoming Calls not working

I've signed up for zoom calls to take incoming calls form our company but I've not been able to actually receive the calls they just appear as missed calls, and I setup a time block to recieve these calls but am getting calls outside of the designate... Show more

Hi there i have recently purchased Zoom phone.

Number 1:  Is that whenever i send a text message there is an error occur that says " Your message cannot be sent as you do not have a valid 10 DLC Brand or Campaign"  I have created the campaign also provided information on 10 DLC. On the profile setting it says that text messages are active and enable but when it come to use that service same error occurs. I have send a request to support as well 2 days ago but haven't received any response from them.

 

Number 2:  Whenever I dial a call and someone answers it there is an automatic voice message starts the this call is recording. I'm trying to turn this voice message alert off but there are hundreds of options I don't know where to find this option.

Hello, 

 

Hoping this is the correct place to post my API question.

 

My team and I are developing a system that integrates with the Zoom Phone SMS API. The endpoints we use are:

Our sessions endpoint seems to be returning invalid data. Calls that return data today don't return data tomorrow. I have an integration test that requests data for a very thin timeframe on 9/11 (2.5 minutes) which should result in 1 session with 6 messages. This test started failing as of last Friday. This particular session has 3 participants. Another session we are testing with (that also has a thin timeframe - 17 seconds) only has 2 participants but is passing.

 

Note: Currently, we are using JWT and are in the process of upgrading to use S2S.

 

Following is the URL of the 9/11 call I mentioned.

My mention above regarding calls that return data today and don't tomorrow - this is something we are starting to see as well. Luckily we are still pre-prod.

My Zoom app is partially working. The video is working fine, but the phone app disconnects after a random time. I use the phone on a Windows laptop. Sometimes it will be connected for 30 minutes, Sometimes it will be connected for 2 hours. After a set time period, it will give me an error of "Not connected". I restart the computer. It fixes the issue for a random time period. I restart the router/modem, if fixes the issue only to be disconnected at some random time interval. I shut down the app completely with the task manager. It fixes the issue only to disconnect some random time period again. 

 

The video feature doesn't have the same issue. It is only the phone. The phone will also disconnect mid-conversation. How do I fix this?

 

The firewall settings work for Google and Microsoft. Also on a different windows laptop.

After pressing phone extension 1 or 2 the wait is too long to get to extension how do I shorten it

The line rings and rings after pressing extension 1 or 2 before getting to the line or voicemail of the people on the extension. How can I shorten the delay?
