Is it possible to capture SMS text on an iPhone (iMessage off) with Zoom?

I am looking to see how to do this or if even Zoom supports this. I am inquiring because we want to capture SMS texts on user's iPhones (we will have iMessage disabled). This is for archiving SMS texts for compliance reasons.

Thank you,

Todd

Hello all! I have a small law firm with a virtual legal assistant based in Argentina. I would like her to start answering phone calls, forward them to myself or my paralegal, and return some calls. How would I set this up so she can answer the main phone line and how can she return calls to the US? Right now we use the auto-attendant. I would like that auto attendant to pick up if she is unable to answer the phone. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

She is using the desktop app.

Hello everyone!

I'm dealing with a Poly Edge e350 hosted trough zoom that I have to make the path to transfer an active call direct to the voicemail shorter.

At the time I have to hit "More>more>T2VM>[extension]>transfer". And I would like to have it on my first options or maybe replace the function of one of the default buttons, like the one to access the messages and put it doing this function.

I also know that transfer the call to **[extension] would work, but when you hit the * twice it will give you the + signal. What would make you have to wait like 2 secs to hit the * again.

It can look silly but when you are all day doing the same thing you see it's going to help a lot.

I was able to access the configuration file and change the order a little bit, by replacing the position from the "Park" option for the "T2VM" so I am one step closer.

Does someone know a way to deal with this?

My current software version from the phone is Current software version is 8.1.2.1128

I also tried to contact Poly support and they said this option should be done from provider. That's why I'm here.

Thanks for the attention

Hi,

I'm unable to connect my zoom app with the Phone to the exchange calendar. Please see screenshot attached for reference.

Upon entering the EWS URL, I get an error message which says: The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unatuhorized. If your Exchange server is undiscoverable from the internet, you can also input your calendar resource (your email address) to sync up your calendar.

FYI:

Device Type - iphone

Zoom- Phone app

Error code: 401

Best regards,

P

Hello,

We recently moved over to Zoom phone from Mitel. We have a door call box that we use for security to unlock the door to allow access. Worked great on the Mitel. I'm looking for instructions on settng this up on zoom phone as a generic SIP device. All I am able to find is a generic SIP H.323 zoom room instructions. If anyone knows of instructions for something like this, please let me know. I did not try the zoom room instructions as it seems to require some type of cloud room connector license.

Is there any way to allow a caller who is waiting in a queue to break out to a designated voicemail box if they get tired of holding.

Ex. we've all heard the on hold verbiage, "we're sorry, we're experiencing an extremely high call volume, if you prefer to leave a message, please press 1.  Otherwise, please continue to hold and the next available agent will be with you shortly."

It looks like this can potentially be fudged via a series of queues or overflowing back to the same queue, but then you get into infinite loops and broken call stats...

Zoom Phone doesn't even appear to be able to play intermittent on hold messages or announce what caller they are in line or other similar things to help engage the caller.  It looks like these may be possible in Contact Center, but that is way overboard for this type of basic functionality.   How are y'all working around this?

I work in a medium sized office (roughly 40 staff) and have an issue with clients calling back and not knowing who initially called them. The sequence is as follows:

* Office staff member calls client

* Client does not answer

* Office staff member either leaves a voicemail and the client just blindly rings back OR doesn't have a voicemail set up

* Client calls back, goes through our auto-receptionist but doesn't know who initially called them

* Office staff member that takes the call back shrugs their shoulders and tells client 'they will try you again if they need you'

* Cue the client getting annoyed - and rightfully so!

Is there a way to identify who previously called a specific number so the staff member taking the client call back can say "I see Staff Member X tried to call you previously - please hold while I transfer you over" ??

We currently use a Microsoft Teams chat but it really doesn't work effectively in managing the process.

Thanks in advance!!
