Hi there, we began using Zoom phone ~1 year ago for our small business and have never been fully satisfied. I find the set up and customization of features confusing and don't have anyone else on my team who can help me with it. I would greatly appreciate set up guidance and would be happy to pay someone for their expertise. Some context on what we do and what I'm looking for:

We're a specialty auto repair shop open M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm. We field many calls a day from retail customers and individuals at other businesses we work with. Calls are typically to schedule appointments or ask for updates on repair/parts/etc.

Our General Manager is responsible for answering calls. He has a company-owned iPhone with Zoom installed on it. If he's unavailable, the calls ring through to my account.

One big problem: our GM's phone no loner has a cellular plan, so if he's not on wifi he can't receive Zoom calls. He's often on the road visiting customers and needs to be able to receive calls during those visits.

What I'm looking for:

1. Fix our GM's need to be on wifi. Do I need to also get a cellular plan? Is there a way to have cellular internet only so the Zoom phone is always accessible? Any other suggested solutions?

2. Have calls ring first to my GM and then to me if he doesn't answer after a certain amount of time.

3. Have voicemail box set up with a professional answering message.

4. Direct customers to voicemail via a professional automated message if it is outside of our operating hours.

5. Anything else to make us appear more professional to callers.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Zoom Community ,

I’m part of DevStory, an app development company in Australia , and we specialize in iOS app development. Currently, we’re focused on optimizing app performance and user experience while tackling occasional crashes during high-usage periods.

We’ve made strides with:

  • UI/UX testing

  • Performance optimizations, but some peak load issues persist.

If you have experience with optimizing iOS apps or troubleshooting crashes, feel free to share your tips or strategies. For more on our work, visit [https://dev-story.com/au/mobile-app-development-company-australia/].

Thanks!

  • Product Area: Zoom Meetings / Zoom App Experience

  • Feature Title: Native In-App Confirmation Capture

Description

Currently, users who need to capture a visual confirmation (such as a meeting schedule confirmation, registration success, or similar in-Zoom-web messages) must use an external tool like the Snipping Tool or screenshot utility to capture the necessary information from the Zoom website.

This process is disruptive and inefficient, particularly for frequent users who are already operating within the desktop application.

Proposed Solution

We request the addition of a native feature within the Zoom desktop application that allows users to easily capture, copy, or save visual confirmations without needing to navigate to the Zoom website or use an external screenshot tool.

This could take the form of:

  1. A dedicated "Copy Confirmation" button on key confirmation pages/dialogs within the app.

  2. A built-in screenshot utility specific to the confirmation window, which automatically saves the image to a designated folder or copies it to the clipboard.

    User Benefit

Implementing this feature would significantly improve the workflow convenience and efficiency for users, allowing them to remain within the Zoom application ecosystem when capturing necessary documentation, thereby eliminating the extra steps of switching to a browser and using a third-party snipping tool.

Call log analytics

Is there a way to check the call throughput (inbound and outbound) per licensed user on Zoom?

My company recently started using the Zoom phone system.  All of our users sync their Contacts with Microsoft Office 365.

The Zoom Workplace app includes "Company contacts", which appears to be any user with a Zoom account and phone license.  So we have duplicates now.  My users are complaining that when they look up someone in the company on the Zoom app to call, they have two entries for everyone...is there a way to hide just the "Company contacts" directory?

Installed the updated Zoom for Lightning  (Salesforce Managed package) 2.16 but every user is getting prompted to connect

Error: "To be able to use the Zoom Phone integration please complete the OAuth in Zoom Phone Settings"

When I click that link, it takes you to a "Zoom Phone Settings" page that only admins have access to. I clicked "Authorize from Zoom App Marketplace" and logged into Zoom with my SSO. All looks good for me and I can use the CTI adaptor in Salesforce.

Issue is that every user is getting this error and are getting redirected to an admin only page in Salesforce. I have uninstalled (deleted everything) and reinstalled the Zoom package multiple times with the same issue. We didn't have an issue with Zooms 2023 SF package or previous versions.

Resolved! Phone BLF key on zoom workplace

Hi,

We have BLF keys on our Poly phones but they are not showing up on the workplace windows or phone app. We are only able to see the parked lines. How do we display the blf keys so users can call each other and see their line status.
