Hello. I have a Blue Yeti that's been working great until I tried using it on a new MacBook Air, Monterey IOS.  People can hear me just great when I use the microphone, but I cannot hear them. I can hear them only using the MacBook built-in speakers. Using the Settings on my MacBook, it appears as though the microphone is set up correctly. It just fails the output ring test. Any pointers would be appreciated. I spoke with Apple and reset my computer, but it still doesn't work even though it continues to show it is connected to the microphone. I didn't have anyone at home with me to practice the error with.  I spoke with LogiTech (microphone people) and they said it was an Apple thing. And here we are.

I am using a Yeti Pro USB microphone from Yeti.

Up until about 2 months ago, it would work seamlessly with Zoom.

More recently, every time I enter a new room (e.g. the main room upon first joining a meeting, or any breakout room or return to the main room, thereafter), my audio completely stops working.

To fix it, I am forced to go into my audio settings, select a different microphone (I select "Built In Microphone) and speaker (I select Built-In Output), and then instantly select back to my Yeti.  It is very cumbersome and happens with every room change.

Anyone know the cause of this issue, and, more importantly, a fix?

I am operating on the latest version of Zoom (and keep it updated religiously).

Thank you.

Hello.  I'm a teaching artist and use zoom for my online residencies.  Though my students can hear my voice, I've been having issues with my classroom hearing my claps, stomps and snaps.   I've tried the "musicians" setting and played around with some of the other settings, but no luck.    I'm currently using my laptop's internal mic and speakers.    Can anybody help guide me in the right direction so my students can hear my body percussion?

- Thanks

I just attended my first meeting using Zoom for Chrome PWA. The application defaulted to using the 'back' camera on my device (Samsung Chromebook model XE520QAB) despite all of my default settings being set up for my front camera. When I click on the camera icon along the task bar at the top of my screen, I can see there is a drop down menu for me to theoretically switch cameras but it is grayed out and I am unable to make the choice to switch cameras. I can't seem to find another avenue to force it to switch cameras to the front facing one right above my screen, no matter how I approach settings in the app or on my device.

Please help! I can't go an entire semester with my classmates and colleagues being forced to stare up my nose.

I've recently updated to version 5.13.4 (11835), and suddenly when I'm screen sharing a video and sound, my own video glitches in a way I've never seen before. What I'm sharing is fine, everyone else's video is fine, but my video gets caught on a one-second movement on repeat. I'm also using a second monitor, but this has never been a problem before. Any ideas on changes I can make to prevent this?

I use RDP to connect to a number of headless (no console) Windows 10 Client systems.

Trying to use Zoom and similar apps, I want to RDP to the remote computer and use Zoom, but I am NOT using a webcam or microphone connected to the local system (the console system I am running RDP from). The hardware is directly connected to the system I am RDP'ing to.

Previously I have learned that I need to run apps "as administrator" to access hardware like DVD-ROM drive for copying.

If I run the Zoom client "as administrator" the video shows up from my Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920. The Audio is routed back to my console system fine and I hear everything. BUT the microphone still doesn't show up.

If I go into Device Manager I see:

  • HD Pro Webcam C920

  • Plantronics BT600

  • Realtek High Definition Audio

  • Yeti Stereo Microphone

Yet when I open Control Panel > Sound > Recording it says "No audio devices are installed".

In the settings for Zoom it sees and I can configure the video camera and see myself in the video window. I can test the audio that is coming out of the speakers connected to the local console system fine. But as far as Zoom is concerned there is NO microphone hardware connected when I actually have multiple USB microphone devices physically connected to the remote system.

Please don't tell me about RDP settings to pipe USB devices connected to my console system to the remote system. That's not what I'm trying to do, and that seems to be all the google search results. I have the hardware directly connected to the remote system because when I use those devices connected to the local console system I can make it work but the video/mic aren't in sync and the Zoom participants and I aren't connecting in real time.

Any help getting this working greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I am the account owner for our church's Zoom account but have recently changed my job so I want to change the account owner email address to that belonging to an existing Basic user.

However, Zoom says the email address I want to become the account owner has already been used.

Is there a way around this please?

Many thanks!
