Participants only see results in percentage when host 'Share Results'. how to see counts as well?

Hi,

After polls host shares results with participants. But participants only see the percentage displayed. is there a way so they can see the counts without sharing host's screen??

Please advise. Thanks.

Hello, my Zoom is having an issue. When I watch a video shared through Zoom (the video has both voice and music), I can only hear the voice in the video, but not the music.
I’ve tried using a different headset, but it still doesn’t work.
When I play the video directly on my computer, I can hear it normally.
The issue only occurs when I play it on Zoom or when someone shares it with me on Zoom.
The same issue happens on my phone as well."
Thank you

Currently using Arch Linux with Wayland.  With the latest zoom installed (6.6.0), using pipewire for sharing.  The first time I try to share a screen or window, it works fine.  If I stop sharing and try to share again, it only shares a completely black window or screen.

Immediately after I stop sharing the first time, I get the following messages in ~/.zoom/logs/zoom_stdout_stderr.log

*** pw_stream_set_active called from wrong context, check thread and locking: Operation not permitted
*** impl_ext_end_proxy called from wrong context, check thread and locking: Operation not permitted
'this->recurse > 0' failed at ../pipewire/src/pipewire/thread-loop.c:62 do_unlock()

I cannot figure out if this is a zoom problem or a pipewire problem.

Everything works fine in X11.

Resolved! How do I change the default full screen mode when starting a meeting (Not sharing screen)

When I start a meeting, it automatically open in full screen mode. Is there a way to change this? I'm not referring to sharing a screen, it's when I start a meeting.

Is there anyone who knows the reason and how to fix this?

Thank you.

Hello

Up until now, Zoom could not find the solution where sharing my screen of not having those dark shadows projected to the viewwer. Pls update and change that so those dark shadows are not seen by our audience viewer.

This issue does not happen in gmeet, teams, or webex, only in Zoom. Please try to fix that.

I think I made myself clear. If there is already a know hoy for that, please share it.

Zoom is one of the best for the many features it has, only the problem mentioned above is the issue.

Pls acknowledge receipt and reply

Rgds

Similar to this topic, I would like to have dark mode on Linux.

As a Linux user, I feel that the topic didn’t fully address the kind of assistance both the original poster, users, and I were hoping for. The current setup still leans heavily on light mode, which can be pretty harsh on the eyes, especially during long sessions or late-night workflows. While there are three options to tweak the top bar and meeting background, they don’t touch the Zoom background itself, which stays glaringly white. That sudden brightness spike is jarring, basically being flashbanged at 3 in the morning.

So, a proper dark mode that darkens everything, not just fragments, would be a huge improvement. Including this in the theme selection or rolling it out in an upcoming Linux update would go a long way in reducing eye strain and making the experience more cohesive. Hoping this gets prioritized.

In a setting where Zoom is used to conduct a seminar, sessions are recorded with the “active speaker” option enabled, meaning whoever speaks gets featured in the main window (not gallery view), and hence should theoretically get featured in the recording (local recording enabled, in this case). Never had a problem with this setup until recently (September 2021).

The issue is as follow. The active speaker appears (is featured) in the main window, but the recording instead records the screen of someone else in the attendance (not speaking, apparently at random).  Hence, the actual active speaker does not appear in the recording, even if during the event the active speaker does occupy the main window. Instead, we get the recording of someone listening to the active speaker (and the sound of the active speaker). There is no way of knowing there is an issue with the recording until it’s too late. Any idea about how to prevent or fix this issue?

Zoom Workplace crashes when accessing Settings under Linux Mint Cinnamon

I have 2 machines running Zoom Workplace (v6.6.10) under Linux Mint (v22.2) Cinnamon (v6.4.8) and a 3rd running Windows 10 (22H2 b19045). On the Windows machine, I can open the Settings window and access all of the dialogs (video, audio, etc.). Under Linux (both machine), trying the same thing causes Zoom Workplace to crash and require restarting, regardless of whether the Settings are invoked via the gear wheel icon or from the Settings entry in the User menu. All 3 machines are 64-bit laptops of varying vintage and manufacture.

One of the Linux machines  has an external monitor and webcam attached; the other does not. The first one has only a touchpad; the 2nd has both touchpad and (wireless) mouse. There's no difference in the behaviour I've noted above; both crash Zoom immediately on trying to access or change Settings.

Zoom Workplace under Windows was installed a few years ago via the downloaded installer app. Under Linux (both installations), I used Mint's Software Manager to install Zoom from the repository with no changes to the default location or settings. One of these machines has had Zoom for a couple of years (running on an HDD); one was freshly installed last summer following a clean Linux installation (complete overwrite of the SSD).

I can't seem to find anything online about this particular problem, but because it's affecting both of my Linux-based machines, it's either something I'm doing or something that affects a Linux Mint Cinnamon installation specifically. Anyone else with Linux Mint experience out there have any suggestions on where to look next?

Thanks!

When I record meetings, Zoom is only recording the video of the person who has joined the meeting, not my video. It used to switch back and forth depending on the active speaker, but now that has changed. I'm a coach and having both sides of the conversation is essential for my business. It will record both videos in Gallery Mode, but not Speaker Mode.

I have tried "See myself as active speaker," but that's an untenable solution. I need to see my client's facial expression while I am speaking to do my job, and it's very jarring/unpleasant to see myself speaking.

Is this happening to anyone else? is there a known fix for it? If I don't get this fixed, I'll have to leave Zoom and find another solution because this is an essential part of my business.
