I tried to troubleshoot everything regarding this topic. My iPhone doesn't show as a select option when opening zoom desktop. I remember one time it worked and it showed but now it doesn't. So far i have

  • Deleted and reinstalled Zoom Desktop
  • Checked continuity settings in iPhone (everything is on)
  • Restarted both devices.

Lost the function to use iphone as video camera

I am currently unable to use my iPhone as a video camera with Zoom on my Mac mini. This setup was working fine until a few days ago. Now, Zoom no longer recognizes my iPhone via Continuity Camera.

I understand this may be related to Apple's Continuity Camera functionality.  Interestingly, when I connect my iPhone via USB, Zoom does recognize it—but it only accesses the front-facing (rear) camera. Ideally, I would like it to use the selfie (front-facing) camera instead.

Both my Mac mini and iPhone are updated to the latest OS versions, and I have tried restarting both devices, reconnecting them, and reinstalling Zoom, but the issue persists.  

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Not able to start meeting as host

Hello! Over the past few weeks I've struggled a couple of times where zoom meetings I have scheduled (in Outlook with the Zoom plug in) have then not allowed me to start the meeting. 

I have been stuck in a waiting room waiting for the 'host' to start the meeting, along with the other attendees. But I am the host? 

I have tried logging in to Zoom newly but otherwise not sure what I can do here.

 

This isn't happening with all my zoom meetings but most of them. Any ideas why?

Audio files conversion mission/interrupted. Cannot find in the storage folder (Local device)

Hi Team,
I recorded 7 audio files during a single meeting, but only 3 are visible in the storage folder. During the session, I double-clicked one audio file to convert it, as I wanted to verify everything was working due to prior issues. After this conversion, the next 4 audio files are missing from the folder.
This is the first time I’ve encountered this problem.
Could you help identify where these files might be or suggest a solution to recover them?

Hello!

 

I'm experiencing issues with keyboard input during remote control sessions in Zoom meetings, and it seems related to Wayland.

 

System configuration:

  • OS -> Ubuntu 22.04
  • XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland
  • Keyboard Layout -> English (US)
  • Zoom 6.4.6 (1370)

Together with a colleague, who has the same system configuration, we tested all the combinations of Wayland and X11 environments. Only the X11 -> X11 setup worked correctly for us. The other combinations had the following issues:

  • X11 -> Wayland (shared screen) - The letters and numbers are mapped correctly, but it seems that the specials keys (e.g. Ctrl, Alt, Shift) are not triggering any event.
  • Wayland -> X11 (shared screen) - The letters and numbers are mapped correctly, also the special keys seem to work, but some hotkeys are mapped incorrectly (e.g. in an editor -> Ctrl + A does nothing, Ctrl + S closes the window))
  • Wayland -> Wayland (shared screen) - This combination is the worst, only a few keys are mapped correctly (e.g. l ;  ') and there are a lot of keys that do not trigger any event.

We have also tried to enable / disable the XWayland feature in the zoom.conf file, but, unfortunately, it had no effect.

 

I saw that there is this similar issue: problem with keyboard shortcuts in zoom for linux 

 

Do you know if there's a fix for this issue? We'd appreciate any help in resolving it.

How can I reduce the chat window in split screen mode so that it does not cover parts of the screen? Thanks for any help and best regards, Annette

Zoom crashes immediately upon joining meeting.

I am running Windows 11. Everytime I try to join a meeting on the desktop app, the meeting will open, ask if I want to join with computer audio, and when I click to join it crashes the window, loads the window again a second time, and then crashes. WHen I try to join again, it says that I am already in a meeting and asks to close it. I am also unable to join via web browser before updating to the most recent version. I have done an uninstall and done a clean install with CleanZoom. I have tried both the 64 and 32 bit versions and neither work.

I attended a meeting and recorded it without logging into ZOOMworkspace on my PC. When I saved the recording, I selected my desktop as the destination folder. However, I later found that the recording was saved both on my desktop and in Zoom’s default folder (Documents/Zoom).

 

Is this expected behavior, or could it be a bug?
