With the newly updated Whiteboard I no longer have the option of 'use Apple Pen' only - this means that as soon as my hand touches the whiteboard, the screen starts to move right/left or up/down, making it hard to write on the whiteboard. Is there a way to lock the scree and stop it from moving? In the older version, activating the 'apple pen only' mode meant I could rest my hand on the iPad screen with no ill-effects to the whiteboard.

Similarly, as soon as I rest my hand on the whiteboard to write, the zoom button on the bottom right is activated, and constantly zooms the whiteboard in/out.

Is there a way to reposition any of the toolbars, especially the ones on the top left and bottom right of the screen, so one can write on the whiteboard while resting the hand on it?

The second issue  have is that I cannot see the participants video screen any more - in the previous version I could see their video on the bottom right of my feed (iPad). Without this, it makes face-to-face meeting very difficult!

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Hi.

I am using Zoom's free account, and am the sole user.
That means I am also the admin, right ?

Recently, I started using Zoom's collaborative Whiteboards, and would like to share them.
However, the error message says that I can't share outside of my organisation.
When i check the settings, some options are greyed out.
No matter how I click, i cannot seem to get pass this error message.

To anyone reading this, would greatly appreciate any help to fix this issue.
Many thanks !!

Lately, whenever I use my tablet pen to write on the presentation whiteboard for my classes, it is not as sure-fire as before. Sometimes, what I write doesn't appear on the whiteboard at all, or missing some letters even though I am sure I have actually moved my tablet pen to write them. It happens so often that it is becoming quite irritating; I have to keep going back to re-write those missing letters.
I have tried writing on a blank PowerPoint, Word and even on a blank PDF page - my tablet pen works fine.

Wonder what is the cause/s of it all. Is there a workaround? I noticed that it all started to be like it is now after I have upgraded to the latest ZOOM software (where the collaborative whiteboard was introduced). Is it something to do with this?
Is there a way to roll back to the version of ZOOM without the collaborative whiteboard? So that I can test out what I have suspected?
If you have encountered similar problems please share. If you have a solution for my problem - Better!! 🙂

My PC OS = Win10, Browser=CHrome.
PC is Lenovo X13 Yoga (ThinkPad)

Whiteboard Issues... Go back to Miro?

I've been using Miro for a few years now, and have been excited to see Zoom implement a whiteboard feature. However I've not been able to create a basic board that is functional for my students to see what I'm seeing, and also be able to easily enter their own information. Some of the main issues I'm finding are:

* Not knowing where my students are on the board, and helping them find me

* Post-it notes I've prefilled with a colored box behind them lose the colored box on student screens

* Some grouped objects I've entered don't appear on student screens

* When trying to save a template of my file, I often get unable to save file

I'd love to move all my whiteboards from Miro to. Zoom WB, but from what I can see it's not time yet. If I'm missing something, or if you can confirm that Zoom is aware of the issues and working on them, I would be most grateful. I'm cheering for Zoom to be successful with this, but I can't risk my own business in the meantime.

Thanks, Kevan

Hi,

I had an unwanted guest at my zoom event who shared an offensive whiteboard.  I reported him, and included a screenshot of his 'artwork' in the report, but now I've discovered I can't delete his whiteboard from my account/profile.  It's listed under Whiteboards, and says 'view-only'.  How can I remove it?  The only option available is Star, the others are greyed-out.  Surely it can't be on my account permanently...  (BTW, I'm neither Joe nor Phil - they're two of his aliases, nothing to do with the actual meeting).

Thanks,

Melanie
