When the internet works in my classroom, I have found it convenient to start a meeting (which only I attend), share my screen, and record the presentation.  I then upload the recording to a university course website, so students who missed the lecture can hear it while seeing the slides.  My only problem is that I am in a class room with unreliable internet, so I often don't have an internet connection, and I can't start a meeting through my normal process (open zoom, click start a meeting).  

Is there anyway to start a meeting without an internet connection?

Specifying attendees when scheduling a meeting

I'm creating a meeting. I pasted the attendee emails into the Attendees box and pressed Enter per the instructions, but only the first one shows in the box. Then when I went to Edit, there was no list of attendees at all. How do I see the full list o... Show more

I'm creating a meeting. I pasted the attendee emails into the Attendees box and pressed Enter per the instructions, but only the first one shows in the box. Then when I went to Edit, there was no list of attendees at all. How do I see the full list of attendees?

 

Suggestions: On the page for creating a meeting, make the Attendees box behave like a normal text box, so when the user pastes a set of email addresses, they all show in the box. And on the Edit page, include the list of attendees!!!

Setup for Populated Gmail email sent to invited participant

Before I updated my Zoom yesterday 9/29/25, there was an option to send an email to the invited participant to join the meeting. Now, that option to connect with my email is not showing. In the past, a window would pop up for me to choose Gmail. Now, I do not get that automated option. Please help me reset this automated populated email with the zoom link to invite the participant to join the Zoom Call. Thanks,

J'ai des carrés gris foncé qui apparaissent dans mes enregistrements vidéos, correspondant aux fenêtres que je consulte pendant la réunion : comme la fenêtre du chat, le nom d'un participant qui lève la main, la barre d'outil pour annoter, et même le carré de ma vidéo en dessous de celle-ci !! Cela est très gênant.

Personal Meeting ID (PMI) Passcode Setting Keeps Reverting

At least three times this month, I have had people unable to join my Zoom meetings due to needing a passcode. Each time, the setting for Personal Meeting ID (PMI) Passcode had been turned on. I did not turn this on. I have the waiting room enabled, so that should cover complying with the Security Guidelines. 

 

Every time, I have to manually go into my settings and turn Personal Meeting ID (PMI) Passcode off. 

 

This is a big problem for me as I have weekly recurring and monthly meetings with 10+ people.

 

Is anyone else dealing with this?

Captions garbled when multiple languages used

Hello I am trying to find how to do something, and wondering if it exists within Zoom or as a third party add on.

We use Zoom at my church.  Our main services are mostly in English but we will have a prayer or two in French, or sing one verse of a hymn in French.  We also have a multilingual Taizé service where we switch among 3 or 4 languages throughout.  The multilingual content is generated by the same speaker, not different speakers.  But captions for French text are coming out garbled.  To make matters worse, when we livestream to YouTube and the recording is saved there, the Youtube captions might not match the Zoom captions.

How can we get Zoom to offer English captions on English content, and French captions on French content, from the same speaker?  Every example I've looked at assumes each speaker speaks only one language.

I dunno if I can post an example, but if it's ok I will post a URL with time points, or snip out an example.
