Hi, 

 

I am having this issue with audio mix for the interpreter. Some of ours interpreters wont hear the original audio under the selected translation channel form another interpreter.

 

Is there any possibility to "mute original audio" as is in the participant panel?

Or an option to contorol the mix (ducker) which interpreter can hear?

I just posted this commented on a more general thread Problems with the Zoom update but realized my issue is specific enough to probably be a separate post.

 

Problem details
Three times during a 30 min zoom call, camera turned off without me noticing because my mic was still working normally. Each time, my iphone pinged (even on silent) and I saw a screen asking me to give permissions for my phone camera. Can't figure out why it's switching over, zoom app is not open on my phone. I am signed into the same apple account on both devices so that explains how it's switching to my phone, but not why it did it in the first place.

 

I was typing notes so maybe I pressed a button by accident that caused the switch? But I'm not aware of any shortcuts for this, I didn't know that using the mic on my laptop and the camera on my phone at the same time was even an option.

 

Troubleshooting
I am a frequent Zoom & Discord user and have never seen this before today. I tried sitting in an empty zoom meeting for the 5-10 mins I spent writing this post to see if I could replicate the issue, but I did not experience the camera switch.

 

This morning when it happened, I always noticed my camera was off after someone stopped screensharing. It might only be happening when another participant shares their screen? When someone screen shares, zoom switches to fullscreen for me, then switches back when they stop sharing. Maybe the mac camera is disconnecting during the switch and then Zoom tries the next available camera instead? I'm not actually sure if it's a zoom issue or a mac issue, I haven't updated my MacOS or iOS in a while and looks like my Zoom version is from Jan 2024.

2019 Macbook Pro, macOS Ventura 13.6.1 (22G313)

iPhone SE, iOS 17.4.1

Desde este domingo siempre he grabado en la nube a 720P, con una resolucion de 1280x  pero de pronto los videos que bajo vienen con una resolucion de 640x360 pixels.

 

La verdad que ha sido una faena porque la grabación se ve con poca resolucion y muy baja calidad cuando desde mis equipos 

 

1.- No he cambiado ninguna variable de HD

2.- La reunion del domingo la primera si me grabo a 720P pero cuando paro la grabación y pongo a grabar la segunda en la nube, cuando voy a bajarla me sale recording_640x360.mp4

Hago pruebas de ancho de banda y todo bien, con test de subidas y bajadas 400 megas en total.

No es por ancho de banda, andemas de una reunion a otra solo paramos 15 minutos, paré la primera grabacion para que se quedara renderizando en la nube, y puse a gabar una segunda a los 15 minutos.

 

Pero esta ultima me bajó la la calidad de mala manera.

Alguien mas le ha pasado?

He grabado reuniones con una muy buena cámara y las grabaciones que se han alojado de forma local en mi ordenador tienen una excelente calidad, sin embargo las que he alojado en la nube tienen pésima calidad.

 

Cómo puedo recuperar la calidad de mis videos?

Resolved! Host Tools missing from Floating Meeting Controls. How to control Waiting Room when sharing screen?

The option for Host Tools (formerly called Security) does not appear in the Floating Meeting Controls when sharing screen during a meeting. Is there any way to add it there?I need to turn on/off the Waiting Room on the fly and can't find an easy way ... Show more

Timer app

The timer app does not work on both of my Macs. I don’t think this is a coincidence. For some reason the timer app is now not compatible with Mac users. I hope that Zoom will be able to solve this issue soon.

Clicking SSO doesn't redirect me to organizations login page

We use SSO login at work, and it has worked just fine both at work and at home. However, the last few months it has happened that I'm not able to log in on my home desktop, sometimes it work but sometimes it doesn't. What happens is that I launch Zoom, it tells me that I need to log in and I click SSO, and I'm shown the "Join Meeting" dialog instead of my organizations login page.

 

If I log in to zoom in a browser, using SSO, and start a meeting I'm offered to launch the Zoom app, if I click OK then  the zoom app is launched and it at least looks like I'm logged in. But when I close the meeting, I'm back to the "sign in" dialog - so it seems like I'm not logged in after all.

 

This has happened a few times, the first time I was able to fix it some way ... but I don't remember exactly how. The second time, I contacted my organizations zoom support which had never heard about this problem before and couldn't help me. Somehow I was able to log in after having "logged out all devices", removed all the preference and settings files I could find, and reinstall Zoom.

 

Today, it was the third time for this problem and I can't figure out how I can log into my account using the Zoom app. I've searched my desktop and removed all settings/prefs/cache files I could find, reinstalled Zoom, etc but I still get to this "Join Meeting" dialog when I click SSO instead of being directed to my organizations login page.

 

I haven't seen this at work, only at home - on both places I'm using the latest version of macOS.

 

I have no idea what the problem could be and I appreciate any suggestion for what the problem could be and how to fix it.

I understand that we can no longer schedule recurring meetings using our personal meeting id.  Until recently, I never experienced this limitation.  I would just like to register my disappointment with this change.  My clients all know that all of my Outlook calendar invitations have always carried the same personal i.d., and now I cannot continue on that basis.  Zoom says our personal I.D. should be reserved for "unscheduled meetings" but nearly all of my meetings are recurring.  I wish we could return to the way this worked before.

Just downloaded latest zoom and the TEST MIC button filters out my acoustic guitar though my voice through the same mic is clear and good. The audio chain (mic, interface) is fine. I enabled original audio and high fidelity option. I set echo cancellation to low. I updated and restarted my Mac. I restarted zoom. I’ve googled a million answers but my settings mentioned above are correct. When I play guitar during TEST MIC, I see the zoom squashing the level bar. Zoom is clearly squashing my acoustic guitar. My guitar is in tune. 🙂 Any other ideas? Thanks!
