As a member of my library's programming team, we use Zoom for our online programs. In the last few weeks, patrons have reported issues joining some recurring Zoom meetings. These issues appear to be random and do not affect all who are invited to a meeting.
While some problems are likely due to a patron's setup (e.g., an outdated app), there is one oddity reported. In a couple of cases, patrons have reverted to an earlier email containing the same recurring meeting link and have joined the Zoom meeting. We had one case in which a patron joined via her phone, but could not join via her computer until multiple attempts were made on her computer.
We use Constant Contact to email links to our patrons, but I'm doubtful that CC is playing a role when many patrons can join our meetings.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any ideas how to solve it or anyone know if this a bug?
Thanks for your time!

It sounds like they may not be using the correct or up to date link when trying to join. You could send a reminder with the link ahead of each occurrence. This way they can find the link easily rather than searching through their inbox and potentially clicking on the wrong link. If you want to automate this there is a Zoom app, Salepager, that lets you send reminders and calendar invites for recurring Zoom meetings.

Thanks, however, we send email reminders 48, 24, and 1 hour prior to our programs. Random users are unable to join a meeting with the most recently received emails, but no error messages have been shared with me. Those users may open an older email and find that the URL works for some unknown reason. As mentioned, we use recurring meetings, so the URLs are the same.
I started including the meeting URL for copying and pasting in the Constant Contact emails, hoping that it provides a work around for some users.

We are experiencing similar problems. The message received is, "The meeting is schedule for...", the date provided is typically the next week (recurring on a weekly basis). Users are prevented from joining as, "Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon.". The host doesn't receive any messages that someone is waiting to be admitted, so I guess this is a bug. It has happened over the last few weeks and it meant we had to send an email to people with the same link again, which they were able to join on. Please fix as we fewer people are joining our sessions than normal and people and people are still receiving the above message.
