Hi  I need help

I  need advice for broadcasting a funeral over Zoom the podium  will be over 30 feet away from where the laptop will be

the camera will need to cover a wide area say 40 x 30 feet or 13x10m

The microphone will need to hear the speaker who is 30-40 feet away. I would prefer something that is connected to a laptop with USB

for both the camera & microphone something that is tripod-mountable

not a lapel microphone but one that will pick up the podium speaker without picking up the people who will be sitting in rows of chairs between me & the speaker about 6 rows of chairs if they whisper to each other during the service.

It will also need to pick up the singing of those attending.

the last one I did was with an iPhone but it was impossible to manage the meeting when it was attached to a tripod & most of the screen was covered it was an utter nightmare to do.

Will probably have another one to do in the coming months for an elderly friend.

Any help recommendations would be wonderful A web link for the recommended products would be the best

I'm in the UK.

it will need to run on both Windows 10.  & windows 11.

running the latest desktop version of Zoom.

Hi Zoom Community,

I’m a longtime Zoom user and paying customer, and I want to raise a concern about the rigid controls around the Waiting Room feature. While I understand the importance of security, the current setup creates significant challenges for real-world use cases, particularly for large webinars and meetings.

My Situation:

•I recently hosted a webinar with over 400 participants.

•I wanted to use the Waiting Room at the start of the session to admit my initial group of attendees.

•However, I found that I couldn’t disable the Waiting Room mid-meeting, meaning I had to manually admit participants throughout the entire event.

This was incredibly disruptive and impractical, especially as a presenter trying to focus on delivering content.

Why This is a Problem:

•The option to disable the Waiting Room during a meeting is grayed out, forcing me to manage admissions manually for latecomers.

•I understand the focus on “one security measure,” but this is unnecessarily rigid for scenarios that don’t require extreme security.

•Many users, like me, need flexibility in how we manage the Waiting Room feature—starting with it enabled but disabling it later on to streamline the session.

Suggested Solutions:

1.Allow hosts to toggle the Waiting Room on and off mid-meeting.

2.Offer a time-based auto-disable option (e.g., the Waiting Room automatically turns off 10 minutes after the meeting starts).

3.Reconsider the “one security measure” rule—it’s overkill for many non-sensitive meetings and webinars.

Why This Matters:

For professional users managing large groups, the inability to disable the Waiting Room mid-meeting creates unnecessary friction and diminishes the user experience. It’s not just an inconvenience—it actively undermines our ability to use Zoom effectively.

I’m hoping Zoom will prioritize this kind of flexibility in future updates. In the meantime, has anyone else experienced this issue, and are there any additional workarounds you’ve found helpful?

Looking forward to hearing from others and hopefully seeing some improvements soon!

Thanks,

David

Currently, I can't get Zoom to launch. I try to open a link and nothing happens.

I can't make a meeting in the browser.

I can download Zoom, but I can't even get the app to open.

The only thing I am able to do is  pick "Join from your browser" The meeting opens, but with audio only, even though  it has my video permissions.

I have looked for solutions. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have cleared my temporary data, and I have reinstalled the app. None of that has worked so far.

Reaching out for help because I am trying to interview for jobs right now and its definitely important.

All the best

Hello,

We have a problem with the ZOOM software. When I use ZOOM, everyone can hear me clearly and I can hear everyone.

When I make a sound with the bell that I hold in my hand then they don't hear the bell Such a problem calls out that I use the ZOOM program on the computer To verify this when I use ZOOM in the WEB interface then they hear the bell.

How do I solve the problem?

I joined a zoom meeting this morning at 8 - 9 am. I joined in a condition I'm not signed in.

I then initiate the recording. The host granted the access for me to record the meeting. I remember there's a confirmation pop up asking about do I want to save the recording to local drive and I respond yes.

This is my first time record a meeting in my device, MacBook.

around 2 pm I try to find the recording but, I can't find any folder name "Zoom" under my Document folder. I try Go and find Zoom folder, there was no result.

Then I sign in to my zoom account to check in the setting where the default folder is. I click on open button from the recording setting page, it's empty. When I check on the folder info, it created just at that moment. Exactly when I click the open button.

Any idea where Zoom save the recording to? How can I access it?

Why don't I just have that button?

Hit 'screen share' -- I see this:

Click on 'open system settings' and see this:

ActSafe-ZoomPermissions2.png

1) I never had to give this permission before: I just hit "share screen" and shared my screen
2) I assumed that something having to do with SCREEN SHARING would pop up in System Settings but arrive at "Screen & System Audio Recording" -- why are we talking about RECORDING when I just want to share my screen LIKE I HAVE BEEN DOING FOR YEARS
3) toggled it off, tried many times over and over to be sure I'm not crazy; same result
4) hit the " - " to remove zoom from "Privacy & Security" / "Screen & System Audio Recording"... went back to zoom app to test sharing screen and... same pop-ups and zoom has re-appeared
5) via online, went into identity and turned it all off -- all screen recordings for anyone for any reason... still can't share

THIS IS CREEPY. Why, all of a sudden, to I have to consent to recordings when I just want to share my screen LIKE I'VE ALWAYS DONE?  Have changed no settings since mid-October 2024 and, one month later: NADA. Can no longer share; must consent to recording.

ps. it matters not to me that zoom claims to not train AI on recorded content -- we do not want our meetings recorded; we want to share screens; what is going on.

Help / advice / instructions appreciated

I created a meeting for Dec. 9, changed it to Dec. 15, then deleted the original calendar entry for the Dec. 9 meeting. I discovered that the (new) Dec. 15 meeting has deleted from Zoom.  The link for this invitation has already gone out via email and social media.  If I click the link - from the invitation I created for the meeting -  the meeting will still open and it appears viable, but I don't know if it is. Also, as the creator, I can no longer see this meeting in Zoom, so I have no way of opening it as the meeting organizer.

When I try to share my computer audio during a meeting, I can click on the "share computer audio" option while sharing my screen, however no check box appears to indicate that my computer audio has been shared. This was never an issue until a few months ago when Zoom installed a software update.  I have not changed my process at all, and yet I can't seem to get it working. I'm running a PC and sharing audit for Youtube videos. Any help?

I've been having an issue during zoom meetings for my paid account. When someone messages me (I'm the meeting host) in the chat, I can no longer message everyone. The default switches to messaging the person who just messaged me, and when I try to change the setting to "everyone" in the drop-down it remains stuck on the person who messaged me.

This seems like a software bug to me. Is anyone else experience this, and do you have any solutions. It didn't used to be a problem, but in the last 6 months or so, it's been happening on both of my zoom accounts after Zoom installed a software update. I'm running on Windows 10 on a PC.
