We have been experiencing several Zoom meetings over the last several weeks that have been getting "unstable network connections" and freezing video and audio.  We had not been experiencing this for the last several years here in the office with multiple calls happening every day.  Our internet connections speeds have remained very fast and showing no issues during the same time these zoom issues occur.

Is there something we should look at on our Network Firewall that could be impacting this?  We recently did update our Firewall on our network. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

A few weeks ago I started getting “Your internet connection is unstable” messages during meetings, and it was true – I froze momentarily for others and they froze for me.

So I called the cable company and a tech support rep said he saw the problem, could fix it remotely, and did. Only it happened again. So I called again and the rep said I needed to replace my modem. So I did and it happened again. So I called again and they sent someone out, who said the coax cable had degraded and he replaced it. And it happened again.

So I made a fourth service request and the guy replaced the new modem with a newer modem. And it happened again.

I’m at my wit’s end; at this point, I can’t believe the problem is the cable connection. But what else could it be?

I use Windows 11 with a new Dell laptop and a single wired connection to the net; I always reboot my laptop, modem and router (though the latter doesn’t play a role) before each Zoom session; I’m always Host or Co-Host and sometimes use ScreenShare but sometimes don’t and always have the problem, whether I’m using audio/video or not; the problem usually lasts just a few seconds (but is very disruptive); I don’t use high resolution; I update Zoom weekly; Speedtest – DL 370, UL 23, Ping 12/27/9.

For Toastmaster meetings, we commonly rearrange the faces on the display so the Speaker image is close to the webcam.

Looking at the "webcam / Speaker image" simultaneously, gives the impression, to the Speaker, that the audience is listening.

If we cannot place the Speaker image close to the webcam, it appears to the Speaker, that the audience is not listening.

We do not want to give the impression that we are ignoring the Speaker, because it is a boring Speech.

I suspect that there are thousands of Toastmaster clubs who use Zoom.  There are quite likely more small groups than large groups who use Zoom.

It would be better if we could "always" rearrange the images on the screen, even if someone raises their hand.

I am currently working on an AI-led interview platform that integrates with Zoom Meeting SDK for Windows (Zoom Native SDK), and I would like clarification on some SDK-level capabilities related to audio handling and AI automation.

What we have implemented so far
Created Zoom meetings programmatically using Zoom Meeting REST APIs

Enabled cloud recording and auto-transcription

Successfully retrieved recordings and transcript files (VTT) after meeting completion

Integrated Zoom Meeting SDK for Windows (C++)

AI bot is able to:

Authenticate successfully

Join Zoom meetings as a participant

Enable microphone and speaker

Participate in meetings like a normal user

Our requirement
We are building an AI interviewer that:

Joins Zoom meetings automatically as a participant

Uses AWS Polly to convert AI questions into speech (PCM/WAV)

Speaks those questions to the candidate during the meeting

Listens to candidate responses

Relies on Zoom cloud recording and transcription for post-meeting analysis

Where we are stuck
We want to confirm whether the Zoom Meeting SDK for Windows supports SDK-level audio injection, specifically:

Is it possible to inject AI-generated PCM/WAV audio directly into a Zoom meeting using the Meeting SDK (without using OS-level or virtual audio devices)?

Does the Meeting SDK provide any API similar to:

sendAudioFrame()

injectPCM()

or any mechanism to push audio buffers programmatically into the meeting?

If not supported, is routing AI audio via an OS-recognized microphone (physical or virtual) the only supported approach?

Are there any official recommendations or best practices from Zoom for implementing AI voice bots in Zoom meetings using the Meeting SDK?

We want to ensure our implementation aligns with Zoom’s supported capabilities and policies, and to understand whether this limitation is by design or if there are alternative SDK-supported approaches.

SDK & Environment Details
Platform: Windows

SDK: Zoom Meeting SDK for Windows (C++)

Use case: AI-led automated interviews

Audio source: AWS Polly (Neural TTS)

We would greatly appreciate confirmation or guidance from the Zoom engineering team on this topic, as it is a critical architectural decision for our product.

Thank you for your time and support.
Looking forward to your clarification.

How do I get rid of flipping Fathom?

How do I kill Fathom. I have uninstalled it restarted my computer and it is still asking to load Fathom as I am trying to join a zoom call.

It is iritating to say the least.

It is like a cockroach infesting zoom.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know Zoom policy of free call for teachers during Covid 19? Is it still available in Viet Nam?
Thank you.

We connect our camera using type-c to an iPad then start a Zoom call. Meetings starts ok - video stream from external camera is working. Then we are trying mute-unmute several times and camera becomes black. Also there is a big lag when external camera is being muted - whole application freezes for ~10 seconds.

This doesn't reproduce with internal cameras. And we tried many other usb cameras as well as different iPads - same issue.

STR:

1) Connect type-c camera to iPad.

2) Make sure video stream works and external camera is used.

3) Press mute/unmute many times.

Actual result: at some point camera stops working.

Expected result: camera works.

Device: iPad mini (6th generation)

OS: iPadOS 18.7.1
