I have a problem with videos that are embedded in PowerPoint slides.  I set up the session with Screen Share/Advanced/Portion of Screen, and it all works fine until I show a video.  After the video is finished, Zoom drops “Portion of Screen” and on each of the next two slides I need to “Hide Presenter View” and then “Show Presenter View” to get back to Portion of Screen, which, of course, disrupts the presentation.  Is there a solution to this?

Hi

Remote Control has simply disappeared from the share menu. I have uninstalled Zoom and reinstalled it but the Remote Control icon has still not returned. Can someone please let me know how I can fix this because it is essential that I have this Remote Control ability for my business.

I have seen another community post with the same issue and the person said they were sent a CleanZoom file to clean Zoom and then reinstall it. If this is a legitimate file please provide it to those of us who are having this problem.

All I can think of is that one of my automatic updates has changed things.

Thanks

Not sure if anyone can help with this but here goes...

We've got this Anker PowerConf Bluetooth speakerphone, which works great, but I noticed that when I've got it connected, Zoom runs slower, but once I disconnect it, everything runs fine.  For example, when I start a meeting, and click the button to join with audio, it takes about 15 seconds to join when normally it's done in about 3. Everything in Zoom takes many seconds more than it's supposed to, which adds up.

Not only that, but it seems like Zoom can't keep up with the camera feed either. If I wave my arm back and forth, I can notice jittering; I can see it try to process movements I've already made seconds ago.

The PC is fast, so that's not the issue. It's  a newer Dell Inspiron with a 10th gen i5 processor, 12 GB ram, and a fast SSD.  Everything moves fast normally. And everything still moves fast when the speaker's connected, except zoom.

We've been dealing with this for months, but it's kind of frustrating so I thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced this problem?

Partage de fichiers dans la discussion

Bonjour, lorsque je partage un fichier (pdf par exemple)  sur la discussion il se transfert bien mais n'apparait pas dans les messages pour les participants à la réunion. Les paramètres du compte sont pourtant validés.

Hi

In gallery view, I am always in the upper lieft hand corner no matter if there are 5 participants or 100. This puts me in the top row, just to the left of the leader/administrator of the meeting. I am wondering if there is a setting that I inadverdently set to make this happen. Everyone else seems to be randomly placed and their placements float around in gallery view.

Thanks!

Hi there, So I've been in a short course with my students and wanted to show them a finance related website. So I tried to share my screen within the meeting. But unfortunately, it didn't worked out. The website when opened zoom shows the message as shown in the image.  Once, I quitted zoom and tried to visit the website again, it was working well. Do you think this has to do something with Zoom settings that I might not know? Many Thanks!

I have Zoom Pro. I'd like that my PMI meetings have a passcode and no waiting room, while my non-PMI meetings have no passcode and have a waiting room.

And I'd like this without having to change anything in the zoom.com settings before any meeting.

Under zoom.com settings it looks like I can independently choose Meeting passcode yes/no and PMI passcode yes/no, but I can't apparently set Meeting waiting room YES and separately PMI waiting room NO.

Inside the meeting under Participants > 3 dots overflow > I can set "Enable waiting room" to NO but I'm not clear how this interacts with zoom.com settings. For example unless there is a passcode, surely I can't disable the waiting room at all? Or, is this the magic answer to my quest, and what I should do is

(a) enable waiting rooms in Zoom.com,

(b) in Zoom.com enable passcodes for PMI but not for regular meetings and then

(c) arrive at my PMI meeting early and set "Enable waiting room" to NO?

If that is the case then I don't understand how all that interacts with letting participants Arrive Before Host, because it needs the host to arrive first.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm having a bit of an issue with disappearing arrows in the gallery view.

I am running Zoom on Ubuntu, and I regularly am in meetings with 60-70 participants. My PC only allows 25 in the gallery view before scrolling.  I find that it is completely random if I get the arrows to scroll through the participants or not.  If I resize the window, the arrows appear while I am resizing, but as soon as  stop, the arrows disappear again.  This also holds true of the speaker view.

I think this must be an underlying issue with Zoom, as I have had this issue for the last 6 months, and I am updating to each new version as soon as it i available.  I have also tried 2 different versions of Ubuntu, and three different desktops.

This wouldn't be so bad if the Linux version had hot-keys to scroll the gallery, but that seems to be a windows only feature.

Has anyone else encountered this, and if so have you found any solution?

Thanks

Drew
