I need your help and collective wisdom, I am having some issues while sharing my PowerPoint presentations and viewing my presentation notes at the same time (I want my presentation notes to be visible only to me, not to the participants). I have both MacBook Air and mac book pro m3 laptops, I have the same issue on both.

1) When I do Presentation View in PPT slideshow options, everyone can see my presentation notes in the side panel. I want only me to see the presentation notes. What can I do to prevent others from viewing them?

2) When I do Basic Screen Sharing of my PPT, I cannot see my presentation notes in the side panel. So when I choose Advanced Share Screen - and make a section of the screen, it appears as a blurry quality resolution for most participants. The framed part of the shared slide appears clear on my side, but not for everyone else.

3) Before sharing, I open my own slide in presenter mode. Then when I say share screen, only the 'share in presenter view' option appears. No other option appears.
However, when another friend tries it on his own computer, three options appear: 'share in presenter view', 'share in slide show' and 'share in power point'. When my friend opens presenter view on his own computer and clicks 'share in slide show' in the screen share options, the presenter notes appear on his computer, but the notes on the other side do not. His computer is also a macbook pro m2.
I wonder where the problem is, can you help me?

Hello,

I have newly started to use zoom meetings, The problem I am facing is, if i set my headset microphone to use during video calls zoom crashes. If instead of Headset Microphone, I use laptop default microphone, it works normally and everything works fine.
If Headset Microphone is set I can not create new meeting, join a meeting or open Settings > Audio. I can go to every other settings page except Audio page. If I open a new meeting or join a meeting or open Settings > Audio page then a window appears and closes within a few seconds.
If the laptops default microphone is set, then everything works normally.
Now I have tested other media like Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger and google meet for both audio and video calling and there my headset microphone is working perfectly too.

In dire need of a solution.

Hi there!

Not sure if I'm in the right spot, but I'm trying to solve an issue. After installing the latest version of Zoom, the OBS virtual cam isn't listed under the camera-options in the Zoom-settings. Prior to the update, it was.

Info:

MacOS Ventura 13.4.1
Apple M1 chip

Zoom-version 5.15.6 (21146)

OBS-version 29.1.3

Troubleshooting done:
- Uninstalled Zoom, reinstalled Zoom

- Uninstalled OBS, reinstalled OBS

- Restarted computer after succesful install

- Start up OBS, start virtual camera
- Start up Zoom, go to settings, go to video, go to camera: virtual cam is not listed

- Closed Zoom, start up Teams, checked settings in Teams: virtual cam is listed

Does anyone know the solution? Much appreciated!

I just scheduled Board meetings for the coming year as a recurring meeting, however, I cannot REVIEW my work, nor can i see if there are any conflicts, nor can I change one future date to another day due to a holiday. I spent an enormous amount of time and energy trying to make the "date range" show more than a few months - the pop up doesn't suggest that the time frame is limited.  And when i tried the chat bot - no success.  and when i tried to call Support, i get the requirement to give account and host numbers (which i found) only to be informed that my paid account doesn't cover support.  What bull***.

This is really annoying.  Multiple people schedule meetings - not to be able to see conflicts is absurd.

Hi,

I have been in 3 different zoom meetings now and when the presenter shares their screen, all I see is a white box. I cannot actually see their screen. Has anyone else run into this and know of a solution? It's only happened the past few times. I never had any issues before with seeing other people's screens when they were sharing.

Thank you.

Hello All, I'm seeking support on Zoom technical issue which i faced yesterday during hosting a meeting where I was sharing my screen (sharing videos and audios), accepting participants from waiting room etc. The problem which I faced was that the zoom was narrating everything like when a person is joining the meeting or when person is leaving, when i was making someone co-host, or when I started sharing my screen. Please help me to figure it out because tomorrow again i have to do the same.

Also, let me know if it is a global issue from the main account or was a problem with my zoom account or system(mac).

Thanks!

So - I have a group of friends - we like to get online to do some games and have Zoom running (so it looks/feels more like in-person).

I have a Pro account.

Next week, I won't be able to be at the meetup; but I'd still like them to be able to use my meeting. I'm gleaning that because I'm an individual account, I cannot assign anyone as alternative host. I can set the meeting to start without being manually started and to allow people to join without a waiting room. And, for the most part, that will enable the meeting to go on .... but, if by chance, someone gets in that shouldn't be there (unlikely, but it's happened before) - does *no one* have the ability to boot the interloper?

Is there no workaround to this? You cannot take someone slated to attend the meeting and grant them hosting power before the meeting begins?

Zoom on Linux (Ubuntu)

Version 6.1.0.198

So, the new version (see above) finally brought the new look that was announced earlier with version 6.0.0 (4563). Yes, it looks more modern. 👍

But

It removes window decorations like the title bar and the borders. As someone who uses the title bar to see whether a window is "sticky" in a multi-desktop setup (sticky means, it moves around with me while I change desktop), this makes the Zoom app less efficient. In just one day, I had already so many occasions on which I left behind a Zoom window (keep in mind that the stickiness changes whenever someone stops sharing a screen) that I got very disappointed with the change.

I looked around in the settings to find something that would bring the window decorations back, but wasn't successful.

Does anyone have any pointers how to get window decorations back? Is it even possible? If not, is there any chance the Product Management at Zoom listens? (If I need to edit weird text files, that's fine. 25+ years Linux user here.)
