Hello, 

 

I'm attempting to provision an Audiocodes 445hd desk phone. Automatic provisioning didn't occur after resetting the phone so I went through the manual steps to provision.

 

On the final step of the manual provisioning guide it says:

 

 

Configure provisioning server:

1. In the web interface, go to Management > Automatic Update > Automatic Provisioning.

2. In the Provisioning Method drop-down menu, select Static URL.

3. In the Configuration URL field, enter Provisioning URL in above of this dialogue.

4. Click Check Now. When web interface says "Configuration file is available. Do you want to update?", select OK.

5. Web interface should show "Automatic Configure success. System is going to reboot ...". Your phone will reboot to complete configuration.

 

On completion of step 4 instead of step 5 occurring the phone says:

 

Configuration file 00908F99C2B1.cfg is identical to existing

 

and does not reboot the phone. Rebooting the phone myself makes no change and the phone is shown to be 'offline'. 

 

I know that the phone is communicating with zoom because in the account section of the menu it lists the name the phone is assigned to. Yet I haven't been able to get it online.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

updating of payment credit cards request

What happens when I select "remove" on a phone number in the "unassigned" bucket of my account?

Hi everyone,

 

What happens when I select "remove" on a phone number listed in the "unassigned" bucket of my account? Does the number go away forever and there's no way to reclaim it or does it go into some other bucket that I still have access to?

 

In the scary scenario (that's #1) will this removal reduce my total phone number of occupied licenses thereby freeing up 1 phone number license on my account?

Has anyone been able to find a way to silence the phone beeps when you are dialing a phone number or extension through the Zoom app? When I type in a name to do the transfer it's blissfully quiet, but sometimes it is faster to dial the extension, but the beeping in my ear is really annoying. BTW, I transfer calls all day!

Just getting our company up and running with Zoom Phones. My question is about ensuring Caller ID is set up properly. I have a local number assigned to me. When I look in my settings, it says that caller ID is set to my company name, but when I test it, the phone number appears without my company name. What am I missing?

We answer incoming calls for two separate companies.  When calling in, you know how to great the client based on the incoming caller ID (the name of our company pops up along with the client information).  We have a call queue group set up for when our receptionist is out to lunch or on vacation.  However, our company name doesn't pop up on the phone display when it rings through.  The name of the call queue group pops up instead.  How do we change it so we know how to greet the incoming caller?

Hello there. I am a relatively new admin for a Zoom phone system with Poly phones.

So far, my experience with configuring and administering our phone system can be summarized with this general statement:

I find the system has been engineered to meet a lot of varying needs; however the quest of accommodating many needs actually makes things complex when sometimes you want simplicity.

 

Please note, I'm talking generalities here and I'm purposefully not mentioning a specific area or question. 

 

I find a lot of times when I configure something one way I either have to sacrifice something to achieve it, or I create new issues in the process of arriving at a solution for the original problem.

 

That being said, how do I go about either requesting new features so I can make things better for myself and others?
