I have end-users that are in need of hearing the voicemail message header when calling in from a third party phone. For example a user that has a wireless phone that they cannot put the Zoom app on are wanting to be able to call into a Zoom voicemail box and listen to the voicemail messages which they can do however they want to be able to hear the voicemail message details like the date/time that the message was received. I've went thru the process to test and the system does not provide an option to listen to the voicemail message header. Is there a hidden option that the end-user can select to hear the header information? Or is there a setting somewhere that can be turned on to give the option of listening to the header information for a voicemail?

 

Any information anyone could share with their experience on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

New to ZOOM phone and trying not to completely HATE it- Need help

I cannot get this to work. There was no set up help from Zoom and you can't get them on the phone. I hate that auto receptionist crap that traps my callers with every incoming call. I hate the extension options, we don't have extensions in my office.... Show more

I cannot get this to work. There was no set up help from Zoom and you can't get them on the phone. I hate that auto receptionist crap that traps my callers with every incoming call. I hate the extension options, we don't have extensions in my office. The phone is supposed to ring and a live person picks up every time all the time in my office until this zoom phone has almost near killed my business and the personal touch we used to provide.   I'm trying to maneuver through this but it's been a week now and no help from Zoom.

Resolved! Zoom Phone trial is over, now how do I delete test imported contacts?

We are in the process of switching from Teams Voice to Zoom Phones and during the trial period, I imported 9 contacts to test the importing process. We will be linking our Office365 contacts when we go live but now I can't seem to get rid of these 9 ... Show more

We are in the process of switching from Teams Voice to Zoom Phones and during the trial period, I imported 9 contacts to test the importing process.  We will be linking our Office365 contacts when we go live but now I can't seem to get rid of these 9 contacts.  I am also an admin for the Zoom account but I cannot find if there is an admin permission that I need to check in order to remove these contacts.  Any help page I find on Zoom points me to the Contact Management section in my web portal but I don't even have that option, I can only see Personal Contacts.  Any help would be appreciated!

Changing the Default Line Key Label

By Default it looks like Zoom put in the label of a button to be "Username Extension". However some of the Yealink phones have smaller Line Key labels. Is there a way to change it in the provisioning template to say something like "LineKey1.Label." T... Show more

By Default it looks like Zoom put in the label of a button to be "Username Extension".  However some of the Yealink phones have smaller Line Key labels.  Is there a way to change it in the provisioning template to say something like "LineKey1.Label.<Ext Name>"

Hello guys,

Yesterday I entered zoom with my iPhone, and when I shared my screen to others, it asked if I want to do a Live Broadcasting. I did start broadcasting, as it wouldn't let me share my iPhone's screen without doing so, but when I did it showed me the color red around the clock on the top left side of iPhone (the color that shows whenever we do a screen recording). I wanted to ask if that means that the zoom recorded my screen sharing or it's just a color to remind me I'm screen sharing ? (and that it is NOT recording anything ?)

 

I need to know this please.

We are converting to Zoom Phone. Our old provider allowed us to set a user's phone so that incoming voicemails are forwarded as email attachments, and then automatically deleted (or not stored in the first place). We basically had three options: 1) store voicemail, 2) email voicemail as attachment, or 3) both.  It appears that Zoom supports options 1 and 3, but not 2. Did I miss something?  Many of our users, having dealt with a voicemail that they received in email, don't want to bother with deleting the original voicemail as well.

Hi,

Recently i noticed zoom text messaging history does not show up, i can see maximum one or 2 days history, earlier i was able to see it for as long back as i wanted to, strangely i can see the history on my phone but on my computer i see limited text message history, i am referring to the zoom phone texting/sms, not the chat messages for zoom.

Any ideas why this is happening ? I dont see any setting for text message history

If a person wanted to call someone from within the contacts section of their Outlook desktop application, is there a way to do it?  It automatically wants to use Teams Voice but how do I get it to choose Zoom?  It seems that the only option for the Outlook Desktop Zoom Plug-In is to either schedule a  meeting or start an instant meeting.

Im looking to create a mailbox for our schools athletic dept where parents can be transferred to an extension.....which will put them into voicemail.   We don't want the voicemail to be attached to a particular user.   I can't seem to figure how to do this without attaching a user and device to it?   I created a common phone but don't see how to attach voicemail to it and am not sure how a coach would call in and retrieve the messages either.  Thanks for your help

I am currently attempting to set up Zoom Phone for multiple users under one office. They have a circulation desk, and would like any person assigned to the desk to be able to answer. I know common area phones are used for this matter. But wanted to know if anyone has ever used this capability? And also if it's necessary to purchase a "zoom approved" desk phone or if I can set it up on a laptop like the rest of the users have for their own personal lines.

 

Any and all help/advise would be greatly appreciated.
