I have a Zoom meeting participant who wants to use her landline to join our virtual meeting.  When she dials the EST phone numbers on the meeting invitation, her landline phone provider reports that she is not allowed access to long distance calling.

Is there a 800, 855, toll free US number that she can use to join our virtual meeting?

cd ~/Downloads

2. Get the new public signing key

wget -O package-signing-key.pub https://zoom.us/linux/download/pubkey?version=5-12-6

 3. Check the public signing key

gpg --show-keys package-signing-key.pub

4. Import the key

sudo gpg --import package-signing-key.pub

5. Get the latest, newest and upgraded Zoom DEB-Package

wget https://zoom.us/client/latest/zoom_amd64.deb

6. Install the Zoom DEB-Package

sudo apt install ./zoom_amd64.deb

7. Check if the Client starts and closes properly

zoom &

8. Happy Zooming

Removal (will purge the depending packages too)

sudo apt autoremove zoom --purge

Side Note:

I had an old client which was removed properly during the install. So there is no need to remove it in the first place. But it wouldn't matter if you do, so no worries.

Of course is it possible to automate and schedule things with a nice script for goodness sake. Alternatives might be snap packages and flatpaks. But I am to old school. I stick with debs and rpms and old rotting repositories for now 😉

B. For Red Hat, Fedora, RHEL, Oracle Linux, Alma, Rocky, Centos like distros

1. Change to a Download directory

cd ~/Downloads

 3. Check the public signing key

4. Import the key

6. Install the Zoom RPM-Package

sudo dnf localinstall zoom_x86_64.rpm

7. Check if the Client starts and closes properly

zoom &

8. Happy Zooming

Removal (will purge the depending packages too)

sudo dnf erase zoom

C. For Snap package enthusiasts

Install the latest Zoom Client with snapd under Ubuntu 22.04 or Distribution who are supporting SNAP Packages

sudo snap install zoom-client

Upgrade Zoom Client (Snap Package)

sudo snap refresh zoom-client

Remove Zoom Client (Snap Package)

sudo snap remove zoom-client

hola! He grabado las reuniones de zoom con vista de galeria, pero al verlas en la nube o descargar solamente se ve la pantalla del hablante activo. No graba la pantalla completa con todos los participantes.

My friend and I watch YouTube videos over Screenshare together, but recently, our audio hasn't been working. When one of us is sharing a video, the other can't hear the audio. Recently, the audio started working when I started sharing something, but I still can't hear her audio when she's sharing a video. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I used to be able to livestream Zoom into my Facebook group. All of a sudden I can't anymore. What happened?

It will only let me livestream to my profile or to 2 other business pages that I'm an admin for. It doesn't even give me the option to go live on all of the business pages I'm an admin for.

Grabé dos reuniones en mi computadora y quedaron en formato .zoom, nunca me había pasado, siempre se transformaron a mp4; sin embargo, no puedo transformarlas ni haciendo doble click ni con las indicaciones de los videos de YouTube. Cómo hago para transformarlas?
