I've got four people that routinely host training and demo Zoom meetings. When meetings are scheduled (Calendly) only ONE person is designated as host, and no one else can start the meeting. HELP?
As of 4/16/24 it seems as though the feature of locking a meeting seems to have disappeared with the new "Zoom workplace" redesign. Has anyone else noticed this and/or found a new way to lock your zoom meetings?
This morning, I recorded a Zoom meeting locally. The initial recording was interrupted, so I stopped recording. Then, I began a 2nd local recording. When I closed the meeting, I received a "recording failed to convert" message. I am now only able to find the initial, interrupted meeting recording in the remote default folder on my computer. I was able to convert this file manually. My Zoom version is 6.0.2. The Zoom session included a shared video in a split screen with a deaf interpreter. Is there a reason that the 2nd recording would not be in the default folder? I did find a cloud recording that includes only the shared video. Though I was sure that I used the record to this computer button, is it possible I accidentally record to the cloud? If so, I don't understand why I would have received the failed to convert message when I closed the meeting.

One of my students is having a problem when I screenshare. I'm sharing a slide set and one student's screen is not getting refreshed. His view is about 4 or 5 slides back. After a long period of time (10 - 15 minutes), his screen view finally catches up. He is using an iPhone 7 and he said that he doesn't update his OS all the time because it has caused problems in the past. I would imagine if I stopped sharing and reshared, that it might fix it for him, but I don't want to have to do this after each slide. Any ideas?

Everytime I've tried to install a new update, I get an error message that it wasn't updated. I use Windows 11 and 365 and it looks like a Windows Installer opens to do the zoom updates. I have a client meeting next week with 10 people and I'm nervous that something will go wrong because none of the updates seem to be taking. As you can tell, I'm not very tech savvy and cannot even try to reinstall because I don't see where the update went on my computer! I would be happy to delete zoom and reinstall BUT will this affect anything I've already set up for my meeting (meeting login/invite that has already gone out to attendees?) I would greatly appreciate any help. In summary: 1. I try to do Zoom updates when I get them but I get a message that it didn't work (I am still able to get on zoom without an update being required when I login.) 2. What should I do to check is these updates are actually being made despite the message that I'm getting that they are not? 3. If I uninstall zoom from my laptop (PC not Mac) and reinstall Zoom again, will this affect an existing important meeting I have already scheduled and sent out the zoom link? Thanks again for any assistance!

Hello, Happy new year 2024. I got a problem on Windows 7 Home Edition, i3-2310M, 8GB computer. I have uninstalled and downloaded latest version of Zoom Desktop Client. I have used CleanZoom tool to uninstall Desktop Client. I have tested with and without the anti-virus (Bitdefender) I have tested with older versions of Desktop Client. I confirm that Desktop Client was working well few weeks ago. Always the same problem. No problem during installation. Zoom Desktop Client takes about 4-5 minutes to start (from start menu, from an e-mail link) The application appears in Task Manager but no GUI during few minutes. Can someone could help me to solve this issue ? Zoom Desktop Client Version 5.17.2 (29988) (64 bit) Windows 7 Home Edition v7601 SP1 Thank you for your help.

Just spent an entire day with no outgoing camera. The camera shows on and off and the camera light comes on when camera is set to 'on' but just shows a dark screen with a camera logo with a line through it. (I updated zoom today and use McAfee antivirus.) Everything else worked fine. I have not used zoom for a considerable time. The camera worked on other apps. Zoom was activated via web browser. (I have noticed that when I log in to zoom it is picking up a photo from my facebook account even although I have not logged in through fbk - is this related or a red herring?) Can anyone help? Thankyou.
