Hello

I got a new laptop a couple weeks ago and have been using Zoom with it.  I tried to get on last week and the light is on on the camera and everything but you can't see my face.  It's just black.  Anyone know why it would do this or how I can fix it?

Thanks!

Language versions

Isn't it time to make it possible to change language of the "frontend". Even most people in Sweden are quite good at english, a major player like Zoom should definitely have a multilanguage approach.

Good Morning,

I am currently being charged by another party for having not shown up to a scheduled meeting, is there any way to see which meetings and at what times I did appear. I believe they have me mixed up but without proof that I was the one to appear, I will have to pay the charge to continue working there. Please advise as soon as possible. Thank you.

Regards,

Tony Blackburn

User license reverting back to basic automatically

I am the admin. I am trying to change the account type of an account, but as soon as I refresh the page, it is reverting back to basic again. It is happening for one account only. I tried from different PCs and different admins. Still same issue.

The email announcing the 9-month policy sent on August 31 included the following:

Starting in September, we will introduce a prompted update to help customers update to the latest version of the Zoom client. If you have prompted updates turned off for your organization, you will not see the prompt.

I'm not quite sure what this says is going to happen.  Speaking with a few of my participants, some have seen prompts to update recently (the prompts suggested, but did not force an upgrade).  Other participants have not.  None of them were running the very latest release, but I suspect (am not certain) that those who received the prompt were further out of date than those who did not.

My specific questions:

Will participants with clients older than 5.5.0 (the minimum release needed on 11/1/21) be prompted to update prior to 11/1?  How much prior?

I am hoping that the answers are: "Yes" and "At least four weeks prior".

Many thanks.

Our organization has many meetings that include both urban participants (most of whom have plenty of bandwidth) and rural participants (many of whom have quite narrow bandwidth). I understand that  those with narrow bandwidth should turn off their video, and use speaker view.

My question is--does it help them for the people with broad bandwidth to turn their video off?

I am having trouble finding a direct answer to this question. Any link to a technical article would be appreciated. I'm having trouble convincing anyone else to even try an experiment about this, because they are so convinced by having heard it said so often.

Can anyone help, please?

Is there a way to automatically pause the recording when we open breakout rooms and then start it again when the rooms close? If there is, we haven't found it.

We rarely if ever want to continue recording a Zoom meeting when participants are in breakout rooms, but we have to remember every time to pause the recording and then start it again (which we sometimes forget to do).

If this setting doesn't exist, we'd love to have it.
