It says it failed to allow calender permission after I click to sync it with the zoom. What should I do?

Allowing anyone in organization to start meeting/be assigned as alternative host

The Issue: We have a large workforce of over 50 people who run events on Zoom, but sometimes people trade shifts last second and the new host is not able to start the meeting because they were not initially set up as host or alternate host. When this issue arises, the new host tries to join and gets a "Waiting for Host to Start Meeting" message. 

 

The solutions I know about: I know we can assign people as alternate hosts, but we sometimes don't have the chance to add people as alternative hosts after they pick up the shift, especially if it is last second. I suppose we could assign everyone in our organization as alternative hosts, but that isn't really realistic with a staff of 50 people. I know we might be able to disable the waiting room so that anybody could launch the meeting, but then I believe our clients could launch the meeting and we don't want them to start the meeting without us. In other words we need to keep people outside of our domain in the waiting room.

 

The solution I am hoping for: Is there any way to set the meeting up so that anybody in our domain/on our account is able to start the meeting? Or maybe more directly, is there a way to assign all people on our account as alternative host without individually assigning each of our staff members?

I know this is an easy option when scheduling a meeting on Webex, but I haven't been able to find this option in Zoom. Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

Over the last 12 hours, I have received emails from two different colleagues, inviting me to their Zoom meeting as an alternative host.

 

They have since informed me that on setting up the meeting, a lot of other staff members automatically popped up as alternative hosts.

 

Has anyone experienced this before? I understand how to manually add/remove alternative host emails from a meeting, but I don't understand why it is auto populating seemingly random colleague emails in, on set up of the meeting.

I am an adjunct instructor who teaches remotely. Unfortunately, when I share my screen with my class (which is the vast majority of the time), the participants see a black box where the Zoom controls and participant tiles appear on my screen.
In an attempt to fix the problem, I tried sharing the screen with both the video optimizer on and off. This did not fix it. I also updated all of the drivers on my laptop. This did not work. Moreover, in my research, many people mentioned that this problem was specific to Lenovo laptops, but I have an HP laptop.
Could you provide some guidance on resolving this issue?

I'm currently working on an automated install script for MDM Intune.

Here is documentation >> Using 1 Intune to rule all Winget Apps – VAN-DAAG
Current issue is when you install zoom via SYSTEM account (other apps are working)
it installs on location:
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\Zoom

So its not available for all users. (NON)
I was hoping by adding --scope machine to the script it will solve. but not.
.\winget.exe install --id $PackageName --scope machine --silent --accept-source-agreements --accept-package-agreements

If you install it as User. its installed for that user. But then it is not reported in Intune that its installed. because its in user profile.

Are there other solutions via Winget? I don't want to build something with the MSI file when there is an update.

I'm sending a Zoom Invitation to a client.

- My computer is set up as Eastern Time Zone

- I'm setting the invitations up as the Eastern Time Zone

- My client is in the Eastern Time Zone

- My client's computer is set up as Eastern Time Zone

- When this client gets  the invitation (I'm using Outlook to send the invitation) he received is as Central (Chicago/America)

 

What's going on ?

Hello,

 

I'm at a bit of a loss and so frustrated right now - during a live Zoom call today, a spammer got through the password and showed inappropriate imagery.  In trying to report this individual after the Zoom meeting, I continually get a "501 internal error" from Zoom every time I try to complete the reporting process.  I've tried this on several devices.

 

Then, in trying to contact support, I see that I'm not eligible for direct support because, according to support, I'm on the basic/free plan.  I am, however NOT on the free plan, and paid for a year of Zoom Pro, which is detailed in my billing history.  Somehow, the wires are crossed.

 

Can anyone help me break through this mess?

Can't find Meeting Report for 21st Feb 2025 Meeting

Up until now my zoom meetings have worked fine. Now on my end the other person talks, sounds come in/out, speaking through a voice box, and like a gargled sound. Anytime I use zoom this happens. 

We tried troubleshooting with the audio settings to make sure whatever we were using was selected. Made sure everything was up to date.  We even tried different headset, earbuds and that didn't help either.  

The only way we've got it work is the other person calls me on my phone and use camera on laptop.
