Hi Zoom Community, I’m a longtime Zoom user and paying customer, and I want to raise a concern about the rigid controls around the Waiting Room feature. While I understand the importance of security, the current setup creates significant challenges for real-world use cases, particularly for large webinars and meetings. My Situation: •I recently hosted a webinar with over 400 participants. •I wanted to use the Waiting Room at the start of the session to admit my initial group of attendees. •However, I found that I couldn’t disable the Waiting Room mid-meeting, meaning I had to manually admit participants throughout the entire event. This was incredibly disruptive and impractical, especially as a presenter trying to focus on delivering content. Why This is a Problem: •The option to disable the Waiting Room during a meeting is grayed out, forcing me to manage admissions manually for latecomers. •I understand the focus on “one security measure,” but this is unnecessarily rigid for scenarios that don’t require extreme security. •Many users, like me, need flexibility in how we manage the Waiting Room feature—starting with it enabled but disabling it later on to streamline the session. Suggested Solutions: 1.Allow hosts to toggle the Waiting Room on and off mid-meeting. 2.Offer a time-based auto-disable option (e.g., the Waiting Room automatically turns off 10 minutes after the meeting starts). 3.Reconsider the “one security measure” rule—it’s overkill for many non-sensitive meetings and webinars. Why This Matters: For professional users managing large groups, the inability to disable the Waiting Room mid-meeting creates unnecessary friction and diminishes the user experience. It’s not just an inconvenience—it actively undermines our ability to use Zoom effectively. I’m hoping Zoom will prioritize this kind of flexibility in future updates. In the meantime, has anyone else experienced this issue, and are there any additional workarounds you’ve found helpful? Looking forward to hearing from others and hopefully seeing some improvements soon! Thanks, David

Since the last update (not sure when, likely in April?), some participants see a popup message on their Zoom in the top left corner during a live meeting that says "Confirm your speaking langauge" "It sounds like you migh have switched to a different langauge. Please update it so we can provide better-quality transcription". (See attached). Something seems to correctly be picking up when they switch from English to another language. It does not seem to happen all the time, or to every person who speaks another language. We are running a learning activity where transcription, recording, etc. is not permitted, and no one has any of this turned on. This message is causing concern to participants. Is there a setting or some other way to prevent this message from appearing?

Really at a loss here. Closed Zoom during a break, started back up, tested Buds before logging in - worked fine. As soon as I plugged in my old USB headset, instantly everything worked. I read that there had been compatibility issues with earlier versions of Galaxy Buds, but still?
Connected my Galaxy Buds 3, all worked fine.
Once I got into the room however, the microphone stopped working.
I double checked that the Buds were chosen as both Speakers and Microphone, independently and "Same as System." Tried testing them while in the room, sound was fine, but zero microphone.
Thoughts?

Hello, I have to enable interpreter services from time to time for a class. I see that there are only NINE languages options to choose from. This week I needed to choose Arabic and Punjabi. Is there a way to add these languages to the drop down feature?

I’m using personal zoom and I see where you can add on desktop but what about mobile app for google calendar?
I have a client who has a large amount recording in their app. The updated to the latest version and all of the recordings need to be converted for some reason? They are currently in .mp4 format and play when you click them manually but not thru the app. There is an option to convert and states it can not find the files double_click_to_convert_01.zoom 02 etc Whats the point of this? Will they still play natively? How do I convert the files? Thank you.

I am trying to figure out how to allow an executive admin to trim their bosses Zoom meeting recordings before it is shared out with others. Have tried setting as alternate host. Even created a role based group and added both her and the boss into that group and allowed recording management privileges. She still cannot see the scissors on the recordings especially past meetings. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to allow her to see and edit recordings of her boss.

I have tried restarting my camera, switching cameras, selecting reset to all settings, and also generating other virtual backgrounds. In addition I have restarted Zoom and my computer many times. I cannot get this virtual background to go away. I must be missing something simple and easy. I am hoping that someone can provide me the easy answer to fix this. Thanks! Kevin

Our organization currently has Zoom integrated in our Salesforce org and we currently have millions of Zoom Event records. We would like to start archiving or deleting some of these records, however everytime we do, it emails all the recipients on the event. Has anyone found a way to delete/archive these records? Based on my prior research, we can do dataloader but defining the criteria for that isn't the easiest or most efficent way to delete.
