Hi,

Zoom, which I have used for more than 5 years is letting me down over the last couple of months with so many issues - it is unbelievable. Now, when I annotate, when I look at the recording, it blicks, appears and disappear - disorienting my students.

I am unclear why this is happening among other so many changes - can someone please tell me why annotated types of text blink and appear and then disappear - worst, I did not even know until my students told me!

Inviting another person to join by texting the invitation

Other videoconferencing software such as Doxy.me allows the host to invite others by texting or by emailing a link.

Does Zoom have a capacity to make such invitations by texting the link ?

Hi,

I'm coordinating interviews for a research study, and scheduling meetings out of my licensed university Zoom account. We've got about 8 people doing multiple interviews per week, and I won't be doing all of them. I've figured out how to make it so people can enter the meeting without me being there, and automatically recording the meeting, but I'm wondering if it is possible to host two or more meetings concurrently, and be present at neither.

I understand the help documentation says that I, as the host, would need to start the meetings and then leave, but wondering if that still holds true if I've adjusted my settings to have no waiting room or meeting password? If I can let one set of other people use a meeting I've scheduled, do these settings carry over if I've got two overlapping meetings?

end-to-end encryption is missing in settings

Hi,

for work I have to activate the end-to-end encryption, which you can find usually in "settings" and "security".

But this option is missing in my settings.

I host two-day meetings of 50+ participants multiple times a year. I have multiple presenters that mush share their screen during the events (PowerPoints), but I do not want to give everyone the ability to share screen for security reasons. Currently, I give presenters co-hosting ability when it's their time to present. This works well, except that then the presenter is plagued with pings and dings from new participants entering the waiting room, and entering the meeting room. This throws the less seasoned presenters off and is distracting to all participants as they can hear the dings from the presenters audio.

Is there a way to give select screen sharing permissions within the meeting without making someone a presenter, and without giving EVERYONE the screen sharing permissions on the back end?  Or some other work around?

I would like to keep sound notifications on when someone joins the meeting as I need to capture all attendees for the minutes.  Also, we utilize breakout rooms, so webinar function will not work for us.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I've lost a recording!

A couple of days ago I made a recording, and saved it somewhere on my pc. I can't find it though! Is there a backup recording somewhere in Zoom?
