Just migrated to zoom. My personal preference is to be on zoom on my computer and use audio enabled on my phone. This works well because sometimes I have to walk away from the computer. The problem is unlike Teams, the screen show two login's that everyone sees. For some reason, Teams would recognize that it was the same user and would not show me logged in on the phone as well. Hope I am clear enough. Is there a setting I can turn on/off so that only my profile that I logged in via the computer is showing to all. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I had a very strange and disconcerting zoom experience at work a few days ago that threatened to cause internal chaos, and am at a loss to understand why or how it happened. I am wondering if anyone can provide an explanation for this -or if anybody else has experienced anything like it. If so I would be grateful. Our IT division at work is completely baffled by this. So I"m a project coordinator on three projects for a nonprofit, each with multiple zoom legacy accounts - for the sake of this discussion, let's call them Project A, Project B, and Project C. I've been using these accounts for many months without issues. Project B has an old working group that hadn't met for several months. The meeting turned up on our group calendar this week - with a Google Calendar recurring event that the Project Chair instituted months ago (before I even onboarded). The zoom information in that calendar event looked odd to me - it wasn't a traditional full zoom link, with dial-ins and zoom URLs and so forth; it was a single xxx xxx xxxxx zoom code and a xxxxxx password - without any http://www or anything. I thought, okay that's very odd. To be doubly certain that it worked, I actually placed the said zoom code in a manufactured URL, and *tested the link* to make sure it worked, the night before the meeting. I got a waiting room window that popped up (the correct one). I thought, "Okay, this is fine." And I didn't worry about it. I sent a reminder to all the group participants with the said link. The next morning, we had three concurrent meetings: one for project C - which I had to attend - and two that happened simultaneously on Project B, set up on different Zoom legacy accounts, in different meeting rooms. I didn't worry about it - then I started getting frantic texts from people on Project A, alleging that people from the Project B meeting with the manufactured link were showing up in one of their zoom rooms, which we call "The TSC Account." Frantic, I went back and double checked the links. They were correct! Then I thought, "I must still be logged in as TSC somewhere." Nope. I checked every single browser and two laptops. I wasn't. But I noted that whenever I logged off of the Zoom.us app, and just logged into a public meeting zoom link, it somehow reverted me to the TSC account. It has never done that before. It has continued to do it since then. I know this story is convoluted, but the bottom line is that people from one project started showing up on another project. I spent almost 5 hours the day of, trying to solve this. And I came up with nothing. It is almost as if, when attendees plugged in that old link, it somehow automatically vectored them back to the default for my account. Naturally, I'm concerned .If this continues to happen, I'll be in hot water. Thanks for listening. Love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and/or suggestions. NSouthern78

Hello to all, Maybe you know the problem - and ideally the solution for it. Unfortunately, I have been having serious problems with my Zoom meetings for weeks. My meeting password keeps changing, and the clients who used to receive an invitation with the zoom link cannot dial in at the time of the meeting. They get a message that the password is wrong. The links are generated via Outlook or Calendly. The problem occurs in both cases. As a solution, I came up with the idea of switching off the meeting identification code completely via Zoom settings. Unfortunately, the settings change by themselves and the password is reactivated. I often experience this shortly before the meeting, or - even worse - during it, when clients try unsuccessfully to log in. I have been working with Zoom for 3 years, and it has worked smoothly so far. I can't understand what has changed in the last three weeks that I now get such problems. Perhaps you can recommend a good IT specialist to help me solve this problem in the long term? Thanks in advance!

Greetings I recently upgraded to MacOs Monterey 12.3.1 and now when I have any participants the video freezes. This occurs whether I'm the host or not. It also happens with either an external cam or the included cam. I spoke with Apple they said it was a zoom issue as I tried everything they offered. Has anyone found a workaround? Is Zoom going to address this?

Dear community, I need some advice regarding to the current set up of a company where I recently land. We stream live trainings (workouts) through Zoom meetings. The 2 way communication is critical to been able of correct the execution of the exercises of our clients. We have experience several unstably problems that I would like to adress to the community to receive some feedback and opinons about my speculation regarding to the root of the problems. First things first, description of our current set up: Our video system consist of: One MacBook Pro 2021 M1 chip, 32gb. With the help of an external Auimce multi output device (https://www.amazon.de/MacBook-Docking-Charging-Netzteil-Thunderbolt-schwarz/dp/B09KN8XCM7) we manage to connect 3 external screens through HDMI. One of the externals is used by the operator to run the Zoom meeting. This screen is mirrored to a bigger TV that is used by the Trainer to monitor the participants and correct them. The third screen, which is connected directed to the Mac (not via Auimce device) is use to display the couch the program. This comes direct from OBS and is routed addressing the live streaming scene to this particular monitor. To cut the cameras and feed the laptop we have an ATEM mini extreme ISO. To add music we connected an audio mixer through usb, we use it as audio interface to been able to select and change music that comes from an music APP installed on an IPAD. In order to add some Overlays, logo, waiting room and endscreen we use OBS. It’s importat to point out that we have to connect OBS to a server(NodeCg https://www.nodecg.dev/ ) in order to receive overlays, that we load as CSV file on the browser. Additionally we have an Elgato Stream Deck to quickly go trough the Scenes, record, activate browser feed (Overlays) etc. So as resume of the video signal chain: Cameras to ATEM via HDMI, then we take the Program and feed the Mac via USB-c. The video signal then goes to OBS where we add Overlays as a Browser source. And finally we deliver the program to Zoom meetings through OBS virtual camera. Problems that we’ve experienced so far… We have experience several crashes of OBS affecting our meetings. Once the monitor that is directly receiving the Live scene from OBS, the software crashes. Secondly and less often, OBS crashed the lost of connection of the Elgato Stream Deck device. When its disconnected but tho we press a button it had crashed. This have only happened once so far. Some Particular questions…. -What‘s your opinion about our current set up in terms of stability? Do you have any particular suggestion? Im trying to push forward to migrate everything into a video system with more Black Magic dedicated devices instead of relaying so much in the Macbook. -Is the Multi Output device a problem? Should it accomplish a particular speed or requirement? -Is M1 Max Chip and or Mac IOS compatible with OBS? As far as i’ve read, the software is more compatible with Windows, with this as argument, it makes sense that some little actions like the unplug of a HDMI makes it crash? The metrics doesn’t seem to be stressed (CPU never over 30%) but somehow those little problems makes me feel our system as an extremely fragile. -Our little server connection to use the NodeCG feature could be the reason of some of those problems? I speculate it so because i know that Mac IOS struggles with network tasks, but not really sure if this is the case.
