How Can I Get the Names of Participants to Display in Immersive View?

Hello,

When using Immersive View, participant name labels no longer appear at the bottom of their videos.  Is there a way to ensure these are displayed in this view?

Hello

I have had a problem with my mic on Zoom on windows 11 for about 6 weeks now. I join a meeting, the mic works fine. Within a few minutes no one can hear me. I then have to deselect my mic in settings and reselect it. It then works fine for a few more minutes. Again it will drop and each time I need to interact I have deselect and then reselect it. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Any idea how to get a signed DPA (individualised version) when neither Privacy nor key account manager doesn't talk to me anymore...? This is the long story so far:

  • Apr 2021 – agreement on DPA (applicable also to ECG Data Protection Act ) with key account
  • May 2021 – reminder to key account due to missing signature
  • June 2021 – reminded twice
  • July 2021 – receive DPA without Zoom signature, resend signed by our CEO
  • Aug 2021 – remind on missing Zoom signature
  • Sep 2021 – remind again
  • Oct 2021 – remind again and – as there is no answer – mail to team Privacy (incident was opened) – no answer by now (Aug 2022)
  • March 2022 – reminder to team Privacy – no answer
  • Apr 2022 – Zoom call with key account who announces to contact legal department
  • May 2022 – feedback: DPA meanwhile too old, new version is prepared
  • June 2022 – once more reminding key account on pending issue
  • July 2022 – next reminder, no answer
  • Aug 2022 – Zoom call with key account who accounces to check and come back with result on 31 Aug in a further call, but again isn’t available at scheduled time

Virtual Backgrounds not available in desktop client when not logged in using LTI integration

This is a higher-ed situation, using an LTI integration. When hosting a meeting using the Zoom Desktop Client, if the Host  is not logged in to their  school account in the Zoom Desktop Client, the Host does not have access to the virtual backgrounds that are loaded to the school account.

If the Host starts the meeting using a Web Browser (Join from Browser) instead of the Desktop Client, then the Virtual Backgrounds are always available to them. That would seem to indicate that it should be possible for the Host to also have access to the Virtual Backgrounds in the Desktop Client regardless of being logged in, because when Starting via a Web Browser there is no additional logging in to their school account, the LTI integration handles all authentication, etc.

The LTI integration sends over information about the user, such as identifying them as the host, their name, etc. So even though the user is not logged in to the Zoom Desktop Client, why isn't the Virtual Background info from the school account also made available to the Host?

Thank you for any thoughts on this

I have this visual bug that I have encountered three times already -

its a visual bug but it is disturbing.

After a meeting is ended that involved screen sharing, screen boarders remain highlighted with this green color like I am still sharing my screen.

Zoom in completely closed from taskbar.... so far only restart stops this.

Guys Help Please.

The stupid zoom automatically muted itself and the entire class I took got wasted. I totally remember checking the audio connection at beginning and even the participants confirmed they could hear me loud and clear and then suddenly at the end when I check the chat I see that my voice stopped reaching them long ago. What nonsense is this? When I have not clicked the mute how dare zoom mute me on its own accord? Please fix this bug immediately. I am a yoga instructor, 10/10 times when I take classes for senior citizens the participants have to struggle to connect audio because the idiotic zoom decided to never provide an option to automatically connect audio of users at beginning of meeting. Even if you disable the telephone option and only keep it at wifi/cellular then also like a total idiot zoom needs you to click twice, for elders who are 60+ this is a big struggle to explain via chat that they have to sequentially click twice at different prompts just to connect their audio. What a pathetic service. I am even a premium user why the heck is this pathetic service being given to me? Switching to google meets if this stupkd bug is not resolved in next update. Thanks (with No Thanks). Zoom Team.

When I send a calendar meeting invite, Zoom has an issue in that neither / both I and the invitee can get into the meeting.

For both of us, it says "Waiting for Host to start the meeting", even though I am clearly the Organiser on the calendar invite.

I do not have this problem if I am the invitee.

Further, this problem only occurs on my work account and only with Zoom, not any other platform.

I like to use active speaker view for recording interviews BUt recently I've had a problem in that the view bounces back and forth far too often, even if there is no noise at my end to activate the switch. I've had to mute my microphone manually to prevent it but don't know why it's suddenly a problem when it wasn't one at all for years.
