Surely_ there is a way, when using the Zoom desktop app (5.12.2, on Windows 10), of disabling the 'X is speaking' pop-up message. That is a message that informs me, when I am speaking, that . . I am speaking. For, that message is really distracting and - at least in a session with only two people - pointless.

I am having an issue with designating Alternative hosts.  Let's say I have a meeting scheduled and have designated an alternative host for that meeting. I want to schedule a second meeting with a different alternative host.  When I schedule that second meeting, it changes the alternative host on my existing meeting to be the same as the alternative host on the second meeting.  Is this a limitation of the Alternative Host function or am I doing something wrong?

Large number of participants not able to join my Zoom meeting

We hosted a meeting earlier today. Double checked all settings.  We have used the link for other prior meetings without issue. Prior meetings have gone smoothly.

 

Many of our participants had trouble getting in. After entering name and email, attendees were required to respond to a captcha - which was not required in the settings, nor had that happened before. Then, the message stated that an email would be sent that  - never came.  Please see below for the abbreviated Zoom language:

 

"You have successfully registered
Please check the confirmation email sent to ____________________ ."

 

I've been running Zooms for 3 years and this has to be the worse experience we have had.  We had 250 signed up through Mobilize but only about 30 were able to get in via the Zoom link which worked for a select group only.  Luckily, we recorded and will send that out but I don't like inconveniencing so many and want to make sure this does not happen again. 

 

I paid the extra expense to ensure we had capacity.  

 

Please advise. Thank you.

can't seem to set up closed captioning on my ipad. yes i've been searching around

Hi, pretty new to zoom. My mom's 101, loves it when i call but her hearing is not good at all.I was able to get CC working on my pc and as a host can set up closed captioning which shows well on my host pc but on my ipad, I only see half a sentence a... Show more

Hi, pretty new to zoom. My mom's 101, loves it when i call but her hearing is not good at all.

I was able to get CC working on my pc and as a host can set up closed captioning which shows well on my host pc but on my ipad,  I only see half a sentence and often the whole sentence never does display., sometimes i get cc on the ipad, sometimes not. same with my i phone

both ipad and iphone are updated. I don't see the cc tool bar on the ipad or iphone like i do with the pc.

 

 

The other thing is as a host on my ipad i also don't have the tool bar which shows setting, meeting etc.

am i trying to do something that can't be accomplished or am i just a dummy.

Adding a counter feature/widget to the meeting

Is there a way to Add a counter as a feature/widget so all participants are able to Click/Tap it and it keeps adding up?Like a calculator but just the adding feature. Please also share what is my best options to achieve this and how? Thanks a million... Show more

4. Our grand daughter uses her laptop computer webcam for a view of herself

5. Now, my wife needs an overhead webcam view of the grand daughters key layout

Audio test works but no one can hear me

My audio tests fine, but when I join a meeting, nobody can hear me. I test right before I join a meeting and still have this issue. My laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad 11S running Windows 8. Core i5 processor if that makes any difference.

We have a monthly meeting with a core group.  The nature of the meeting is to invite different guest speakers which includes inviting different guests based on the subject matter.

 

1.  How can I avoid having the invite show up each month on a guest speakers calendar?  Currently Zoom defaults to sending that guest a notice (not sure what it says -- maybe cancelling the meeting for that person...?).  I'd like to invite them to one meeting only (they are certainly welcomed to come to others, but they're busy people and I don't want to clutter their calendar.)

2.  When guests acknowledge acceptance, they do not show up in the "yes" category.  Even though I know they have accepted, others invited have no way of knowing.  There are definite instances when it would be helpful to see who else is coming to determine if its worth someone's time tuning in...  How can I get everyone's yes/no response to register on the group invite visible to all invitees?
