If a specific screen is shared and remote control is requested, but can the remote party see or do

Hi, if I choose to share a specific window with a remote tech and they ask to control my computer - What information do they have access to? Just the one shared screen (Window)?

Yes, I've seen the article "Mass deployment with preconfigured settings for Windows"

https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362163-Mass-deployment-with-preconfigured-settings-for-Windows

I don't understand how to open/edit the MSI so switches can be edited? Maybe I'm missing it.

It's very frustrating in a way because a lot of this seems needlessly cryptic and poorly explained.

Can someone point me to a step-by-step resource on configuring the MSI so it can be thrown into MS Software Center?

It seems like this should be very simple and straightforward -like a GUI with a left and right window. Left window is clean MSI, edits show up in right window...click to finish/commit edits, done -here's your customized MSI.

[Linux] Regarding Nvidia+Xwayland/Wayland

Hello,

I have opened a ticket regarding an issue I had with Zoom crashing on Nvidia when using Wayland session (and also at the same time filing a bug to Nvidia https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland/issues/63 in which I discovered it is an issue on Zoom's end). The reason I am trying to use on Wayland is because Xwayland is showing a blank window when opened (which turns out is an issue on Zoom's end as well).

The support representative I talked to in the ticket was helpful and tried to get a response from the engineering team (which never came) regarding the response I received from Nvidia in the github issue I linked here.

Direct link to the response I received from Nvidia: https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland/issues/63#issuecomment-1204312146

So I am raising it here as well just in case it can lead to a more helpful response. I am not expecting an ETA of course but just acknowledgement that it is being worked on.

I've recently been facilitating some branded backgrounds for my business, and have sought images configured to 1920 x 1080 pixels (16:9). My creative agency has supplied them at 3840x2160 (double the size), claiming that it ensures the quality across all screens (TVs, laptops etc). I'm mindful of excessive file sizes bloating our network unnecessarily, but would like to understand how Zoom 'ingests' these and broadcasts them - knowing that there's not unlimited bandwidth (or processing power) to present these, let alone the 'receiving' device to render them. It's my experience that your own VB self-view will look crisper than a colleague's in a meeting. Is there any tech perspective on what's adequate/ideal vs what's simply excessive/redundant?

I know how to copy the meeting credentials to join, but want to add this extra step.

Thanks,
