I'm not sure what section this should be in.

I'm on Windows 7 and was forced by zoom to update to the newest version.

Now it takes over 3 min to start up and another 3 to join any meetings.
It used to be instant.
Because of this severe delay, I thought it was just getting hung up and just wasn't working so I've been doing the whole uninstall, reinstall, reboot, etc... thing the past few days trying to get it working until I now saw that it just takes forever to load.

I've noticed that it creates 9 instances of msedgeview2.exe in my processes now, which I never noticed before.

Either way, this is way too long in todays computing world for an app to open.  I'm looking at 6 min total to get into a meeting now when a few weeks ago before the forced update, it only took a few seconds.

Does anyone know of any fixes and/or how to turn off the auto-updates?  I don't like them being on for this specific reason.
This is really bad if now it's going to take over 6 min to join a meeting through the program, or now forcing me to buy a new computer because the app updates are crippling my functionality.

My meetings are not recording.  I've gone into settings and click on record to the cloud and made it live.  I'm using personal rooms and all the meetings are posted that it is being recorded.  I get an email when people have clicked in but no email when the recording is done.  What's up with that?

It would be nice if Zoom generated a code consisting from mixed characters, both numbers and digits for PMI . I had a user who had a purely numeric passcode starting with 0. While the user passcode got copied into a Google table, Google automatically converted the passcode into a number since it only consisted from numeric characters, and the left most 0 got truncated. As a result, some users were unable to join the conference since 0 character got removed. Can this be forethought? I get it's not Zoom's fault, but it would be nice if Zoom safeguarded such situations. Thank you in advance.

Finding a recording

When I started a scheduled meeting last night on my phone, I made another participant the host so she could record it for us.  The meeting was not set up with automatic recordings.  Where would the recording be?  I am using the free Zoom.

Thanks!

Audio, not able to hear a specific participant while others can

I am currently co-host in a meeting. The host can hear me and I can hear the host. Participant A can hear both of us. I can hear Participant A, but the host cannot. What can we try to resolve this?

app vs. web

I'm admin using the zoom app. One participant is using the web. When he clicks on 'record', he gets the message 'please ask for permission' but is aware of no way to send the message to me to 'approve'. Other participants (don't know if they're using... Show more

When he clicks on 'record', he gets the message 'please ask for permission' but is aware of no way to send the message to me to 'approve'. Other participants (don't know if they're using app or web) are having no problem and I get the box to 'approve'. Is this an issue with app vs. web or is the participant just clueless on how to send the 'ask'?
