Hi everyone, this is my first post here. My name is Sarah and I am from the Netherlands. 

Since I have a new laptop, there's something strange going on. When I am listening to Spotify on my laptop, it sounds great. But the minute I open a Zoom-meeting, even before sharing sound, the music sounds very troubled. Like it's under water or something. The minute I end the Zoom-meeting, it sounds normal. So there must be a link between zoom and spotify - that wasn't there before. Can somebody help me with this problem? Thank you so much!

I have not been able to host a successful Zoom meeting in a very long time. I send out the invitation with the link via WhatsApp. I start the meeting, but I get no participants. The participants open the link and see a screen telling them that the host has yet to start meeting. I think somehow, they are getting a different passcode than what I am using. I see conflicting passcode information. This used to be so simple and now it is a nightmare for me.

I've had a frustrating change that started a couple months ago. I do a lot of Zoom meetings, some Google Meetings, and some training videos that I record on Zoom. A couple of months ago, my microphone stopped working on these platforms. I can use my headset and hear volume only if I'm not in a meeting platform. So, I can listen to YouTube videos, I can edit Audacity audios, etc. However, each time I try to use my microphone on Zoom or Google Meet it doesn't work.

 

Some trouble shooting I've already done without success is testing different headsets. Restarting my computer.

Manually adjusting the Volume Control items in my laptop. When I go to the volume control while in a Zoom Meeting, it shows it as an "x" for Chrome and Zoom. It will show the correct headset is selected. However, the Volume Mixer shows an "X" for Zoom. And an "X" for Chrome. I click the "x" to turn on the microphone sound on for Zoom in the volume control, it removes the "x" for a second then it's back on and won't go off.

 

I also checked my computer's Settings / Microphone / Privacy and Security / confirmed that permissions are already granted to give microphone access to the internet and my apps.

 

I have a Dell XPS9710 laptop, I use Google Chrome. Running Windows 11. Tried multiple headsets. Primary one is a Poly Blackwire.

 

I'm not sure how to proceed from here. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Zoom on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Version 6.2.6(2503) full screen is unstable.

Zoom is unstable in full screen.  It studders whenever there is full screen on any screen.  I have 3 monitors and it is unstable if using multiple screens or single screen.  Only the 1 screen is not studdering constantly only if it is not full screen and is the only screen, but even then is not always stable.  I have a Nvidia graphics.

Hello, everyone!  I’ve got GREAT REQUEST.

 

I take part in regular meetings in which I am the host. Before the meetings for half hour, I play background music: Share screen > Advanced > Computer sound only.

  

MY PROBLEM IS THAT EVERY TIME WHEN ANY OF PARTICIPANTS STARTS TO SPEEK MUSIC VOLUME IN BACKGROUND DROPS DOWN.     THIS IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

 

 

I spent hours solving this problem. Without success. I tried to solve this problem based on information from the forum (link below). I also compared the setting on my friend's computer, which doesn’t have such problems and uses a much older PC unit.

I changed the settings: “Sound > Communications > When Windows detects communications activity – Do nothing

SECONDLY

I changed the settings: Audio Settings, option “Suppress background noise” and disable or put in low. if this is active, zoom considers music as background noise and suppress it lowering Volume.

IT ALSO DIDN’T HELP

I can see the person holding the meeting but they cannot see me.  I have done everything including call Geek Squad for a remote.  My camera and video works fine otherwise.  This happens only in Zoom.  Sometimes if I click under certain settings I will see my camera light briefly flash, but does not stay on.  And some of the time I can get it on and once I do it stays on for that session.  But when I go back for another meeting I am gone again.   This is a newish Lenovo Yoga laptop.  Please help!

Can anyone suggest a workaround for this. I teach Photoshop online and when I screen share a plug in eg Nik Collection participants can't see the screen of Nik, which means I have to shop sharing and reshare the screen to show Nik Collection screen, then stop reshare to go back to Photoshop. Which is annoying for participants.

 

I have contacted support twice about this with no response.

Hi, 

I have problem where when i do a zoom meeting and need share portion of screen, it came out blank screen. i already uninstall and install it again, update, clear cache and cookies also nothing happen.

share a collection of recordings

Anyone know if there is a way to group numerous recordings and share with people other than just sending the links to the recordings through? Ie can I put a collection of recordings together for a group of people to access?

I have Zoom Workplace Pro and I want to add a co-host. In the settings Reunion don't appear co-host. Can you help me please?
