Hello,

I am just wondering if there is a way to stop names showing on local recordings? Since the new update there has been a change and display names are automatically included in local recordings.

Is there a way to turn this feature off?

I have found on zoom web an option to turn it off but unfortunately this is only for cloud recordings.

Thanks in advance

I've been getting a message about an unstable internet connection, and then i get dropped out of the meeting.

the message i get is an error code 104101 .  i typically join meetings through a link that is sent to me.  i use the microsoft edge browser.  i've rarely had internet connection problems like this over the past 3 years.  and this is not a one time event.  it has happened the last two days in a row.  granted, maybe spectrum has been having some problems in my neighborhood.  i've been told to unplug my router to clear memory, and then plug it back in.

any ideas??

Alrighty, here's a strange one. It's past all the basic troubleshooting. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, zoom, etc.

I use zoom almost daily. The audio and speakers stopped working randomly one day. Appears unrelated to any security issue or update on my computer. When I uninstall my microphone, I can listen to others on the zoom call. If my microphone is installed, the audio stops.  Zoom alerts that it "failed to detect your microphone." When I try to use headphones (wired or bluetooth) all I hear is a grinding noise. The microphone does not work in any scenario regardless of speakers.

My husband has the same computer and his driver is older, so I uninstalled everything and then downloaded the same driver. This also did not work.

When I try any automatic troubleshooting, it just says an unexpected error has occurred and I can't do anything there, either.

I have not yet done a full recovery due to my work schedule.

Any thoughts?

Hello!

The meeting I am trying to manage is run 24-hours. Currently we only use the timer app and would like to turn off apps for in-meeting experience. Ideally we would like just the host/cohosts to be able to use a timer and all other apps are turned off. If this is not an option we would like to turn off ALL apps for everyone. Is this possible?

Thank you in advance for your time and response.

I am having a problem where Zoom is scheduling meetings to the wrong email/calendar account in my Outlook.  I want them to go to my default business account.  I have Outlook as my email and calendar program.  Within Outlook I have several business and personal email accounts.  I recently upgraded to a new machine, and I suspect this is where my issue may have started. When I schedule a meeting and save, it pops up a new Outlook calendar event to add email addresses to meeting attendees.  However the invite is being sent from one of my personal email addresses (outlook.com), and when I click on the pull-down to choose a different email account, neither of my business Microsoft exchange accounts are available to choose, even though one is my default Outlook account...  Its annoying as acceptance emails are going to my personal email, not business.  And I have to drag the calendar event from my personal calendar to my business calendar.  How do I fix this?

Hi Zoom Community! With only two employees, and only hosting one or two meetings a month, I have a Zoom One Pro plan.  I'm listed as the 'owner' with my director as 'admin'.  It appears that the Admin role limits meetings to 40 minutes (or at least this is our experience).  Is this accurate?  Is there a setting I'm not seeing in order to change this?  Any guidance would be helpful.  Thank you in advance 🙂

Zoom claims that if I add a person as an alternative host, that they have the same access to the meeting that I do, which should include starting a cloud recording. I have given my teammembers access to schedule for me, because the generic text says that is required.

My goal is to create a recurring meeting with mulitiple team members where they can join at anytime, without me present, and record portions of the meeting.  In Other Words, I do not want to assign a Co-host, as that would require me to attend every meeting just to join, assing a co-host and leave.

I want to add my teammembers as Alternative hosts, so that at any time, whoever is in the meeting room can start a Cloud Recording while they are there.

The problem is that ZOOM does not seem to behave consistently.  Please see my list of circumstances:

I have created multipe meetings and each seems to operate differently:

1. The first meeting, I created, and then, I added a team member as an alternative host. When she used the meeting room, it told her she needed the Hosts Permission to record.   1-Answer - Turns out the teammember had been logging into her personal zoom account and when she used our secure login portal, it allowed her to record. She doesn't seem to have had any issue since.

2. The same meeting room, but a new member was added as an alternative host, but Zoom would not let her record either. said she needed host permission. If I joined the meeting, it defaulted to me as host, and asked to assign a co-host, but she should have been able to join alone and record.  2 - A  I Created an entirely NEW Meeting Room and added her as Alternative Host. She has been able to record

3. The Same Meeting Room.  Two other members had been added to the Alternative Host List, but at this point I assumed that Alternative Hosts status is not granted unless the meeting is initially SCHEDULED with them as the Alt-Host.  So, I created a 3rd Meeting Room and added these additional two team members.  3-A.  We just did a training tonight and they had NO trouble joining the meeting with the link. They each joined separately and each were able to start a cloud recording on their own.

2-2 - This evening I got several notifications from the team member in the second situation who is now saying that Zoom will no longer allow her to record, using the same meeting room link, without the hosts permission.  I have NOT edited anything about that meeting room since her sucessful recording last week, but now it won't let her record.

Being able to start a Cloud Recording is a vital requirement for the work we are about to start and I am unable to find anything on the zoom website or elsewhere that can explain why I my team members are unable to start a Cloud Recording even though they are listed sucessfully as Alternative Hosts.

I have asked for help with IT but all they did was copy and Paste Zooms own instructions about how Alternative Hosting Should work, but it is NOT working. Any suggestions  will be appreciated and tried at least once.

Thank you.
