Regularly, people say "BRB" and then have to write "Ok Back", especially if video is off.  Would be helpful to just have a "BRB" status you can flip on that shows in the participants pane and the video window that you can turn off when you are back.  Bonus points for adding a custom message, like "BRB - 5 min" or "BRB - grabbing a glass of water"

I have always set up most of my meetings as recurring. After the latest Zoom update, I cannot set up new meetings with the No Fixed Time option that is mentioned in the FAQ and troubleshooting support. Therefore, it makes me choose a date or # of recurrences, which results in each meeting being listed separately on my meeting list. (Very annoying). I still have other recurring meetings (created before the update) listed at the bottom of my meeting list. Why don't I have the option of choosing No Fixed Time so that recurring meetings are shown like before?

Hey guys.  My users notified me they can no longer schedule Recurring meetings from the windows Zoom app (5.15.3). Basically these meetings types used to automatically schedule as "No Fixed Time" recurring meetings - which they loved because in the medical world patients might be given a recurring meeting, that is mondays at 2pm and Wednesday at 4pm (for example) - which could change depending on clinician availability. So recurring meeting with no fixed time is ideal, cause the Admin Assist can use the same "meeting link" for that patient, and not be stapled to a specific day and time. (avoid the headache of having to "mico schedule" everything)

 

Yesterday the Zoom app stopped allowing this. However the option is still available via the website. Please see the following screen shots to understand. Anyone else dealing with this?

I have recently moved to a Chromebook for my business. I am running an intel i5 with 8 gigs of ram and trying to use zoom. When using zoom on this platform I found that support for the application is no longer there. Everything has moved to the android app or the PWA app. The PWA app has really bad camera and audio. I have confirmed that it is not my laptop as i have a fairly high spec chrome book. I also noticed that the functionality on the PWA app is limited. I cannot adjust video and limited audio options compared to the windows version. Is there any planned solutions to these problems. The app is limited in functionality and overall runs poorly. I am getting ready to terminate my subscription if I cannot find a solution to these issues. I have tried the android app and it has similar issues as it is designed to run on a phone platform or tablet. The app is not as responsive and options/customization is also limited.

Hello everyone,

I have a basic beginner's question and would be grateful if someone could give me a tip on how I have to make the settings in Zoom and in the camera software to get the following result:

- For interview purposes, only 2 people are next to each other. So in a total video window of 16:9 (1920x1020 or 1280x720), 2 camera windows next to each other should fill the format.

I can't get it any other way than to have a thick bar at the top and bottom of the overall format.

ich habe eine grundsätzliche Anfängerfrage und wäre dankbar, wenn mir jemand einen Tipp geben könnte, wie ich in Zoom und in der Kamera-Software die Einstellungen vornehmen muss, um folgendes Ergebnis zu bekommen:

- Zu Interview-Zwecken sind immer nur 2 Personen nebeneinander. Also in einem Gesamt-Videofenster von 16:9 (1920x1020 oder 1280x720) sollen 2 Kamerafenster nebeneinander das Format ausfüllen.

Ich bekomme es nicht anders hin, als oben und unten im Gesamtformat je einen dicken Balken zu haben.

Help needed -my zoom (desktop) won't update

Have been using zoom on my laptop for a long time ... usually Zoom updates run automatically or I get a notice asking me if I want to update.

 

Starting  Monday, 2/6, when I tried to login I received this message:  'Your app version needs to be 5.10.3 or higher.  Please contact your IT team to update your app'.

 

I tried to update by going through 'my account' tab but there is no option there for updates.

 

I've never had an "IT Team" or other ... just a personal user.

 

I tried to update to current version starting in zoom's download center and it showed that the download ran but the program would not update ...  when I opened zoom it still gave me the message.

 

Appreciate assistance ... we use Zoom to attend my mom's therapy (dementia) sessions and classes!

I have recurring church weekly events. If an embedded passcode one-click link is created, can that same one-click link be used for all recurring weekly events?

I have a regular meeting  which is divided into two sessions with 30 minutes in between. Login info is the same for both. Nobody has problems with this except one person who gets this message:
UNABLE TO JOIN THIS MEETING
You are unable to rejoin this meeting because you were previously removed by the host.

 

Nobody else has that problem,except for this person. Everyone leaves the first part, and everybody else can rejoin. What is going on?

I am in desperate need of help. I have a MacBook Pro 16” M1 Max updated to the latest version of Mac OS. And zoom is updated the most current version. The problem I am having is the built in camera on my MacBook is not working with zoom. I have checked the permissions in privacy and security, and they are set correctly. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times. I even purchased an external camera from logitech, and it does not work either. However, the built-in camera and logitech camera work with FaceTime no problem. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thank you!
