My office has a number of Zoom Room licenses that are associated with a number of M365 resource rooms. When creating a Zoom Meeting, users are using the Zoom for Outlook plug-in, signed in with an account that has delegated scheduling permissions within Zoom to each of the Zoom Room "users", and selecting the name of the room from the "Schedule for" dropdown in the settings of the plug-in to create the meeting, then adding the Resource Room to the attendees or location so that the meeting shows up on the calendar for that room.

 

This is currently the only way we have found to consistently get the "Start" option on the meeting room's controllers rather than "Join", so the meeting utilizes the Zoom Room license for the meeting rather than the account used to schedule the meeting's license. This allows us to avoid concurrent meetings on the same license.

 

Is there a better way to set this up so that meetings held "in the Zoom Room" always use the Zoom Room's license, regardless of if it's delegated or not?

I constantly use the safe driving screen in meetings.  Yesterday it was working fine, but today it stopped allowing me to unmute when I tap the Tap to Speak circle.  The app was not updated recently (since 2/28), the settings in the phone or Zoom were not changed.  I can unmute using the standard meeting screen.  I followed all the troubleshooting advice - changing app settings, phone permissions, force stopped the app, reinstalled the app.  Nothing seems to have helped.  All the settings are as suggested.  No error messages.

My Zoom meetings are integrated with my Outlook. 

In the past, when I schedule a Zoom meeting, it immediately adds to my Outlook calendar AND opens the meeting invitation -- so I can simply add the Outlook recipients and hit send.

This week, when I create a Zoom meeting, it only creates the meeting.  Then I need to go find the meeting in my Outlook calendar and open it, in order to add recipients/invitees and hit send.

This feels much clunkier.  Did I accidentally change a setting?  I cannot find any such setting.

ON IPAD:  Up until this week, June 16, 2024, if someone shared their screen during a meeting, it would go back to gallery view, which is the correct view/setting.

Now when a participant ends a screen-share session, it goes automatically into speaker view. I have to manually find a moment to switch it back. I am a court reporter, and I have very little time to take my hands off my writer to do that.

What is going on? I'm not the only one who is having this issue. Three people I know already told me they are having it too. I just hope there is a fix.

Agent missing/declining calls with Auto Answer on?

We have our agents on auto answer but noticed calls getting to the overflow queue earlier than our time settings.

 

When we looked into the call, the event details seem to indicate the agent 'Hung Up'' but it still moved to overflow?   Wouldnt the call end if our agent hangs up? Could someone help explain this behavior so we can coach to prevent it from happening in the future?

See Personal Telephone Contact Numbers in the Zoom Desktop App

I keep asking the chatbot how to see all my personal telephone numbers in the dial pad screen of Zoom Desktop app. But it keeps telling me to log into my online Zoom account to see these numbers and edit/add them. You can't see your telephone contact... Show more

I keep asking the chatbot how to see all my personal telephone numbers in the dial pad screen of Zoom Desktop app. But it keeps telling me to log into my online Zoom account to see these numbers and edit/add them. You can't see your telephone contacts without logging into online Zoom? I wan to see them in the Desktop app without opening a browser and logging into Zoom. Is this possible? As it is I have to start typing in a name in the dial pad screen and it pops up sugestions. No way to see the entire list?

We have a Workplace Pro license and have to log in repeatedly, even though we are admin users, and it only works byresetting the password. Does anyone have the same problem and a solution for this?

Is there a way for the host to enable captions without subtitles automatically appearing on mobile and tablet devices?

 

Currently, when the host enables captions, desktop and laptop users can choose whether to turn them on, which works well. However, on mobile devices, subtitles appear automatically when captions are enabled.

 

This can be distracting for those who don’t need them and affects the overall user experience. As a result, some hosts in my company hesitate to enable captions to avoid complaints. However, they're receiving complaints from users who need captions. To better accommodate all participants, my company is even considering cancelling our Zoom subscription in favor of Microsoft Teams, which offers more flexibility in this area.

 

If mobile users had the same opt-in option as desktop users, hosts would be more likely to enable captions without concern about disrupting others.

 

Would it be possible for Zoom to update this setting so mobile users can choose whether to display captions, just like on desktops? This would improve the experience for everyone and encourage my company to continue using Zoom.

Annotation options not always available

I am the meeting host. Sometimes when my meeting partner shares their screen, I am able to write on it with the annotation tools, but other times that option seems to be missing. What's going on?
