Team Chat

In Zoom-Workplace where the chat channels are listed, there is a personal channel with my name, that was (probably) auto generated by Zoom. It is also listed as favourite (with star marking) and therefore shows up right on top of my list. Thing is, I don’t use this. EVER. I love the chat function, but I don’t chat with myself and I don’t use it to store notes and would never have the idea to look for them in a chat channel.Why can’t I delete this? Or am I overlooking an option to delete it?And can I at least move it to the bottom of my chats, where I don’t see it? 

Hey, everyone I have a problem with ZoomBefore when I download Documents during the class, everything stayed saved in my Zoom chat. but now, even if I download the files, I can’t find anything anymore.It look like the chat and the documents have disappeared, like I was removed from the channel. the instructions say to do this :For Debian, Ubuntu, or Mint:1. Open the Terminal.2. Import the GPG public key using the command:```gpg --import ~/Downloads/package-signing-key.pub```3. Verify the signed file with:```sudo apt install dpkg-sig && dpkg-sig --verify ~/Downloads/zoom_amd64.deb```4. Enter your user password when prompted. A successful verification will show "GOODSIG _gpgbuilder". the problem is when i type the 3rd command which starts with sudo apt installi get the errorE: Unable to locate package dpkg-sig i can’t figure out how to actually check the zoom filei have two files downloaded into my download directory, they are:zoom-amd64.debandpackage-signing-key-6-7-5.pubso i’m not sure what i’m doing wrong. can someone help figure out what command(s) I need to be running to check the gpg key?i am on linux mint 22.3 Zena

Hello! I just have one question, how do I add zoom team chat? Do I have to pay for it? Is it only for certain devices? I have it on my phone but I normally use my computer for work. And it would be helpful to be able to chat with my coworkers. Thank You!

Lately, folks' statuses are automatically changing to Out of Office.  I have checked the settings, and it shows Away after X amount of minutes, but I don't see where it changes to Out of Office. Does anyone else see this? Kristi

Hello I am using the latest version of zoom (5.16.10) I don't have the option for rich text formatting in chat. I am on Windows 11 Client on Laptop

This red dot from the Zoom dock icon needs to go. It entirely bypasses the system preferences, even if you disable badges and notifications the red dot persists as long as you have unread Team Chats.This is entirely unnecessary and horrible UX design.  

Hello,I am using the Zoom App on Mac and getting the following error for some files. It appears the the files that have already been cached are rendered correctly. The same thing happens when using the web app of zoom. The route when fetching the file returns a 404. Can you reproduce this issues @zoom?Best,Moritz Oliveira Makowski

There was a very useful facility in Zoom meeitngs that is available anymore. I teach students online. Students could send answers privately only to the host. We could see these private messages in one window. This facility has been changed to individual named chat messages. There is a need to navigate around chat widow. I am trying to find out whether this facility is still there  or move away from Zoom. 

I can't stand Team Chat.Ideally, I'd be able to disable Team Chat entirely—my team and I have absolutely no use for it, and I've gone as far as requesting nobody comment during meetings in the in-meeting chat to avoid further notifications. At the very least, I want to at least turn off the red notification bubble on the dock icon—I have enough already that are actually important, and having 99+ notifications on the Zoom icon is really not helpful. The only solution I've found is signing out entirely, which is annoying due to the NEW "You are chatting as a guest" notification which blocks the first messages in the in-meeting chat. (attached) Would love a solution to this—I am frustrated beyond belief by this new "feature". Please stop fixing things that are not broken.

I’m a teacher and I have classes with 40 students. When I select the option “Participants can only send messages to the host” in the chat settings, no one is able to write anything in the chat at all. What is the reason for this? I upgraded to the Pro plan thinking that might be the cause, but it didn’t fix the issue. What should I do?

Hello,I would like to export my team chat messages. I found, that one has to log into the web portal, go to “reports” and then “user activity reports”. We are seeing this issue occurring across multiple user devices within our environment. Reinstalling Zoom does not resolve the problem, and even when setting up a completely new machine, the issue still presents itself immediately upon installation.At this time, there appears to be no available documentation from Zoom that addresses this behavior or provides any known resolution. Hi -- I'm wondering if there is a character limit in the chat box?  Some times I have around 800 characters in a passage I need to share with my group and a message appears saying 'message is too long".   Thanks

I have created a free account (with CC verified) and added 59 users. I have also activated all 59 accounts. I'm unable to see them under company contacts list. (company contacts did show up a couple of times last week, but 99% of the time, the entire internal contacts section is missing) I have tried on different computers, mobile phones, etc and it's the same.  When I try to invite one of these 59 people (invite a zoom user to connect button) - it says xxxx is already your contact

Two alternate hosts (AHs) can start meetings, but only one of them can chat with the participants first. The other one has to ask all the participants to send a chat first before the AH can chat with them. Both AHs use the same meeting link sent by the Host, and they use Windows laptops. Their sign in processes are the same.The AH who cannot chat first until participants start the chat has tried signing in and out of the meeting which they started: on the main work laptop, on a different laptop, and on an Samsung Galaxy S23 Android phone. They've tried logging in using the desktop app and the web app on the laptops and the Android mobile app and web app on the mobile phone. The version of the desktop app is one version behind the mobile app. Because only one AH has a problem, it doesn't appear to be the version number. What else can they try to turn on the ability to chat first? TIA
