In Zoom Room installer version 5.11.7, the login password was stored in the windows registry.

The password was stored in HKLM/software/microsoft//windows nt/current version/winlogon

We have recently upgraded to version 6.6.4 and it appears that the password is no longer stored in registry.

where is the password stored now ?

was this change part of recent security enhancement ?

Recommendation: Add Zoom Rooms to Microsoft Store

Making Zoom Rooms available through the Microsoft Store would simplify enterprise deployment and management.

  • Companies would no longer need to download or update .exe files manually.

  • IT teams could deploy Zoom Rooms directly through Microsoft Endpoint Manager or Intune, ensuring consistent installation across all devices.

  • Updates would be handled automatically by the Store, reducing IT overhead and keeping systems secure.

  • Distribution through the Store ensures organizations are using the official, validated version of Zoom Rooms.

Conclusion: Adding Zoom Rooms to the Microsoft Store eliminates repetitive manual updates and provides enterprises with a secure, scalable, and efficient way to deploy and maintain the application.

When we start our Zoom Rooms app on a Mac mini connected to a large-format (maybe 90-inch) Samsung display, we notice that the MacOS dock gets much larger just before the Room Name, Sharing Key and time appear on the screen.  We think the Mac screen resolution is being downscaled, which results in lower-resolution profile pictures and less-than-1080 HD (we have that option on our account) resolution on our meetings and shared screens. Has anyone been able to force Zoom Rooms to keep the native high-resolutions that we seen when we are looking at the Mac desktop on the same screen?  Any ideas please?

Hi,

I want to know if it is possible to inject multiple audio channels (DANTE) directly into Zoom Rooms for the language interpretation. This way, you don't need to have multiple laptops for each language. It's easier when the translators are physically present in the same place and the translation needs to be sent via Zoom.

Best regards

Hi Team,

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this issue, but every time I share my laptop screen with video in a Zoom Room, the audio plays from both the laptop and the Zoom Room speaker where I'm sitting. It's a bit annoying, and other users have reported the same problem. Is there any way to ensure that the audio only comes from the Zoom Room speakers and not from the laptop that we're sharing the screen from?

We have the dual monitors choice selected. Our Teams calls still appear on the dual monitors, so it's not a routing or monitor issue. Is anyone else encountering this problem? Does anyone know of a solution?
