I am considering moving our bookstore from comcast to Zoom phone but have several concerns.

1. All workstations will need a deskset so I'd be acquiring Poly VVX D230 phones. Most of our staff have never used Zoom and are computer illiterate. Can I just place a deskset at their station and have it treated like a regular phone? Is there some sort of login that would have to be done at that station?

2. I don't so much have users as I have workstations. During the day different people will occupy any given workstation. Would I just add the workstation  as the user or do I need to enter the individual names of the people who will be working there?

3. We currently have 6 incoming lines that roll over in the event that the main number is busy. Would I just add additional phone numbers to my plan and then have the ability as the admin to effectively create the same situation?

I want to call the Zoom app in Teams.

Testing our setup, calling into our zoom phone number, there was a dialtone.

 

 But no user was logged in.

 

Should the zoom phone not ring if we are not signed in?

 

our set up is shared line. We tested during normal business hrs. Our overflow is voicemail. 

We logged out to see if the inbound call would go straight to voice mail which is what we would like.

Get Individual Business Hours from Calendar

We use Google Calendar Working Hours and Locations so we know when and where everyone is working. Is there a way to integrate this information to Zoom Phone System > Users & Rooms > User > User Settings > Business Hours? Or do I have to get everyone ... Show more

Is there a way to integrate this information to Zoom Phone System > Users & Rooms > User > User Settings > Business Hours? Or do I have to get everyone to manually update their business hours manually?

Company not recording external calls. Common Area Phones

Looks like our common area phones aren't recording outside calls.  Inside calls are recording fine.

Contact Center - Anyone setup a Chat or Video link yet?

I'm in the UK but really keen to see the Customers website experience for  Contact Center . What options are there to customise the chat / Video widget and how does a Customer choose to start a Video call?

Auto forward an inbound call to a busy number to another extension, then voicemail if no answer?

We have just set up ZOOM phones in our office of 5 staff, and its fair to say I'm having a difficult time trying to get everything working perfectly! At present, if someone calls our main number, the call goes to voicemail if not answered within 30 s... Show more

We have just set up ZOOM phones in our office of 5 staff, and its fair to say I'm having a difficult time trying to get everything working perfectly! 

 

At present, if someone calls our main number, the call goes to voicemail if not answered within 30 seconds, or if our main number is busy. 

 

I would like to set up a call queue so that an inbound call to our main number (if busy or doesn't answer) will automatically go to another internal extension, before going to voicemail if not answered.

 

Hoping someone can assist me!

I want to uniformly set some of the 'User Setting' for all my Zoom Phone users 

1. Business Hours

      a. Allow callers to reach an operator
      b. Connect to Operator: Auto Receptionist

2. Holiday Hours

3. Audio Prompt Language

I need to make sure that these settings are unified across all staff but setting them user by user would be a daunting task.

 

Any way to set these specific settings on mass?
