Hoping this is the correct place to post my API question.

 

My team and I are developing a system that integrates with the Zoom Phone SMS API. The endpoints we use are:

Our sessions endpoint seems to be returning invalid data. Calls that return data today don't return data tomorrow. I have an integration test that requests data for a very thin timeframe on 9/11 (2.5 minutes) which should result in 1 session with 6 messages. This test started failing as of last Friday. This particular session has 3 participants. Another session we are testing with (that also has a thin timeframe - 17 seconds) only has 2 participants but is passing.

 

Note: Currently, we are using JWT and are in the process of upgrading to use S2S.

 

Following is the URL of the 9/11 call I mentioned.

https://api.zoom.us/v2/phone/users/abc124/sms/sessions?page_size=100&next_page_token=&from=2023-09-11T17:20:00Z&to=2023-09-11T18:22:32Z

 

My mention above regarding calls that return data today and don't tomorrow - this is something we are starting to see as well. Luckily we are still pre-prod.

My Zoom app is partially working. The video is working fine, but the phone app disconnects after a random time. I use the phone on a Windows laptop. Sometimes it will be connected for 30 minutes, Sometimes it will be connected for 2 hours. After a set time period, it will give me an error of "Not connected". I restart the computer. It fixes the issue for a random time period. I restart the router/modem, if fixes the issue only to be disconnected at some random time interval. I shut down the app completely with the task manager. It fixes the issue only to disconnect some random time period again. 

 

The video feature doesn't have the same issue. It is only the phone. The phone will also disconnect mid-conversation. How do I fix this?

 

The firewall settings work for Google and Microsoft. Also on a different windows laptop.

After pressing phone extension 1 or 2 the wait is too long to get to extension how do I shorten it

The line rings and rings after pressing extension 1 or 2 before getting to the line or voicemail of the people on the extension. How can I shorten the delay?

Zoom phone - recording file size

Is there a way of making sure phone recordings are not massive? Phone recording voice/ speech does not need a recording studio's precision. I would rather have a smaller size file. Does anybody know how to set the phone recording file size? Many than... Show more

If a client sends an SMS to the company phone, where can we see it?

Perhaps it's just me, but the inability to 'favourite' a contact in my mobile phone contacts directory on the zoom phone mobile app is very irritating. Having to 'invite as a zoom contact' to enable this capability is ridiculous - I can hardly invite... Show more

Zoom Desk Phone not working

I have two phones that are provisioning and are indeed connected to the network but it will still won't receive any calls.Upon checking the admin portal I found that the devices did not show any IP addresses.Factory resetting also didn't helpWe tried... Show more

Factory resetting also didn't help

We tried connecting the phones to a separate network - that works.

I have my 10DLC and the Campaign approved.

We are using verbal onboarding campaign with only allowing web links. 

That being said, what kind of verbiage should we be putting out to our Faculty and Staff that are going to be leveraging SMS to students?

I am hearing that we may be required to add "reply STOP to stop receiving SMS messages.   Beyond that what or how should we "train" our users to send SMS the correct way so as to not create an issue.
