I use a MacBook Pro with the Apple M1 chip, in which I used zoom on a weekly basis for my Japanese lessons (teacher is in Japan, I'm in Mexico). Everything worked great, but since I updated to macOS Sonoma 14.1.1,  every time I enter my lesson, that god-awful message appears. 

It's so weird! All permissions are granted and the audio works fine in other meetings (I also use zoom for work, which are also meetings not scheduled by me), and it's only in my Japanese lesson's scheduled meetings when this happens. I have to use my mom's Lenovo and the audio works fine. I'm stumped!

 

Also, when I try to enter via iPhone or iPad, the same message appears, I can only access via my mom's laptop, so I'm guessing it has to do with iOS? So to be recap:

1. The message appears only when accessing my weekly Japanese lessons, in other meeting the audio works fine.
2. All permissions to zoom are granted from my computer. 

3. It doesn't seem to be my teacher's issue since I can access with no problem whatsoever using a Lenovo laptop with windows installed.

4. I have the "always join with computer audio" option ON

Any help is appreciated! I'm @ @Ray_Harwood since he seems to have responded in similar convos

How to Include Host's Vote in Zoom Poll

If the host is launching a poll, how do we include the host's vote in the poll? As configured currently, the host can't select an option, all responses are greyed out.

Recorded without being logged in

I was invited to Zoom Session. I forgot to log into my account. I got permission from Host to record session. But I can't find the recording. It's not in my PC. Any ideas would be greatly apprecaited.

Hello, I need help with a problem of local Zoom recordings. It turns out that I accidentally deleted some recordings that I made with Zoom and that were saved on my computer, and not in the cloud. I have tried to recover them with several data recovery programs, but I have not succeeded. The curious thing is that when I enter the Zoom recordings section, the recordings appear there, but when I try to open them it tells me that it cannot find the file path. Is there any way to recover local recordings from the Zoom platform itself? Or does anyone know of a program that works for this case? I appreciate your help very much.

Exported list for registrants does not match the list I view in the website.

I have exported a list for registrants, but it does not match the list that I view in the website -- the exported list has more names with emails.

Hi ZOOM Community,

I've a very frustrating issue here.

When looking to schedule a meeting via my mobile phone, I am unable to set the 

'Allow Participants to Join Before Host option' ... even though I have disabled 'Enable Waiting Room'.

 

However, I have successfully set it using the Zoom Web Portal via my laptop!?!

I really would welcome any guidance and suggestions !!!

Today is 10/31/2023. I have a scheduled meeting on 12/5/2023 and have had attendees registering for some time now. I'd like to export the current registration list for the meeting but unable to locate an export tab. I only see the following tabs:

"Import from CSV"

"View"

"Edit"

Using a webcam with a Macbook Pro

I have a paid account and use Zoom for regular meetings. I use a Macbook Pro with an external monitor and I bought a Logitech webcam to sit on the monitor to use instead of the MBP built in webcam.

I launch the meeting and the Logitech is selected automatically, but then after a few minutes, the webcam will shutdown and I get a message saying that the default camera/mic  has switched to the MBP webcam/mic. Video goes blank, audio goes dead.

I reselect the webcam, few minutes later, same thing happens.

I don't want to use the MBP with the lid open, I want to use the external monitor.

The Zoom app will randomly decide it doesn't want to use the wecam, then because the laptop lid is closed, it will switch off video entirely.

The other strange thing the app does, if I have my iPhone near, I can select the iPhone camera and mic, but the app will stay on the iPhone and never switch off or try to switch to the MBP.
