When I launch an instant meeting with ZOOM from a Windows tablet, I get the error "Unable to connect to the meeting (Error:10)".

Nevertheless, I can launch the instant meeting without any problem.

But the error message is annoying and confusing for users, and I'd like to remove it.

Headphone Jack stopped working on Mac OS after Zoom update

My headphone jack on Macbook Air 15 (the latest) stopped working after Zoom software update on 8/17/2023 (I think). I can use Airpods no problem but any headphone jack type headphone/mic stopped working. It is not just for Zoom but the headphone jack... Show more

My headphone jack on Macbook Air 15 (the latest) stopped working after Zoom software update on 8/17/2023 (I think).  I can use Airpods no problem but any headphone jack type headphone/mic stopped working.

 

It is not just for Zoom but the headphone jack stopped working for every other apps, like Chrome or Spotify.  I think it has something to do with stealth driver Zoom installed?

 

I tried all the troubleshooting:

- restarting computer (didn't work)

- force quitting coreaudiod (didn't work)

- creating another user account (didn't work)

 

I reinstalled Mac OS and it is now fixed, but I am scared to reinstall Zoom again.

 

Anybody experiencing the same issue?

I was sent the tutorial about streaming to Facebook, but it's not thorough.  Has anyone used Zoom to stream live (or even prerecorded) to Facebook and Instagram at the same time?  If so, can you share information about how you set that up.  I have a paid subscription, so I should be able to do it.

Hello, Zoom community,

 

At my workplace, we started to upgrade/update our zoom system entirely to the latest version it required (5.14.0). All of our individual units were upgraded except one. It is a Zoom cart device for our executive meetings. That device doesn't upgrade beyond (5.9.4). Every time we try to start a new meeting or join a meeting, from that device, it says it can't join/start because it needs to be upgraded.

 

At my organization we have tried the following, not in this particular order:

- Uninstall the device and install it again.

- Went through different configurations to upgrade and it says "it is the latest version" (5.9.4).

- Remove the device from the system and add it no another system to try to upgrade or see if this works, but didn't.

 

The device is in good health. Please any advice would be highly appreciated.

Question about an add-on

I have one pro and created a meeting but now I need that meeting to accept more than 100 people. I just added the add-on for meeting for up to 500 people. Does the meeting that I had already created will accept more then 100 people?

I was trying to record a zoom session today which I've done dozens of times and it works (local recording to my computer).

 

Today I did a test around noon to make sure my camera was working, etc and all was fine.  At around 2pm I started to record, messed up 3x so i hit stop record/start record each time so there should have been 3 files at the end of the meeting.  When I look in the folder there are 2 files to click to convert, both ones that I messed up, but not the 3rd good take.  Furthermore, there is an odd file called zoomver.tag that is not in any other zoom folder with previous recordings.  I think that may be a corrupted file or something - any way to try and save this file and maybe get my good recording (the 3rd one)?

Limit the usefulness of the Zoom link to exclusively the booked date and time

In our organization, people use Calendly to book the Zoom room and have their meetings. Unfortunately, the meeting links often also work at dates and times different from the booked ones. So, for example, let’s say I booked the room for an online meeting on March 30, 8:00 – 9:00 am. I would then receive a Calendly email with the details and the Zoom link, and if I use the link on March 27 at 2:45 pm, it’ll let me enter the room.

 

The problem with this is that one person can book the room for a particular date and time–receiving one link, and someone else can occupy it–with a different link–right before the meeting. When that happens, those who try to use the room for the booked meeting, receive a message saying, “the host has another meeting in progress” and are locked out.

 

How can we fix this? For example, is there a way to make the links work exclusively at the booked dates and time? If I booked the Zoom room for March 30, 8:00 - 9:00 am, the link should only work during that specific hour. That way, people would never be locked out of the room for booked meetings.

 

I hope that wasn’t too confusing. I already asked on the Calendly community forum, and I was told everything related to the Zoom link corresponds to Zoom and not Calendly. That's why I'm now asking here. Thank you in advance!
