What subscription is needed for registration of meeting?

I need for people to be able to register for the meeting and for people (up to 200) to be able to ask the speaker questions at the end. What subscription do I need?

In the audio settings on mac (multiple mac versions, multiple zoom versions) under the Audio Profile if you click on "Zoom optimized audio", (Auto, Medium, and High) options seem to drop out any music that is being played as "background noise" however if you switch over to "Original sound for musicians" there is no change in the sound even through the "Zoom optimized audio" radio button is no longer selected. If you click on Auto and then switch to "Original sound for musicians" the "Zoom Optimized audio" settings are overriding the "Original sound for musicians". Whereas if you click on "Low" under "Zoom Optimized audio" then switch to "Original sound for musicians" the music being played over zoom does not seem to drop. However its unclear that "Original sound for musicians" is even working / making a difference. The "Live performance audio" also does not seem to change the audio being sent to zoom. Also under the Video -> Advanced Settings the "Optimize quality of the video I send with de-noise" does not seem to change the music getting dropped either.

Resolved! Attendee list necessary when setting up a meeting?

Is it necessary to list the attendees when I set up a meeting, or can I just send everybody the link without listing them in advance?

Hello

I want to set up an "alternative" host for a meeting I cannot attend.

The instructions say I need to use the Desktop app to assign an Alternative Host.

I downloaded Zoom to my laptop, but whenever I sign in, the Web version opens.

Question  - Do I need the desktop version to add an alternative host?  If so, can someone tell me how to do it.

Following the directions,  I clicked "Home" and then "Schedule" - the instructions said to open "Advanced Options," but I could not find it.

I welcome any help you can give me!!

Thank you.

Ann

I cannot screenshare all the apps in my zoom meeting

Whenever I press the screenshare button, it shows only 3 options in the drop-down; photos, website URL and whiteboard. It is a nuisance since I cannot share the files of whiteboard to others.

If surround sound is enabled in Windows audio settings, for example, 5.1 surround sound, which includes a center speaker and two surround speakers in addition to the main left/right speakers, all the meeting audio output will come from every speaker in the system simultaneously. I suppose this is fine for those who enjoy being yelled at from all directions at the same time by a single person speaking, but I would imagine, not so for most. The only workaround known to exist is to revert back to stereo audio in windows audio settings, but this is terribly inconvenient for those of us who use surround audio for other purposes, especially if it's a tool we use for our jobs because we need to remember to re-enable surround audio after every meeting. Note, "use original audio" does not fix this issue.

Expected behavior:

4 speakers present: Meeting audio should only appear in main left/right speakers.

5 or more speakers with center speaker present: Meeting audio should only appear in the center speaker.

Exceptions should only be for audio presented via shared screen optimized for video, if the presenter's audio system itself is actually using surround audio, and apply stereo fold-down for clients that only have stereo speakers.

I have a one hour meeting that I record weekly, it is usually around 230 to 270 MB when I download it afterwards. Two weeks ago I noticed it was 492 MB, and just this past week it was 745 MB. Still just a 1 hr meeting. Does anybody know why the size of the file would be so much bigger?

We are experiencing recurring technical issues with the Zoom platform that are significantly impacting our educational sessions. Below, I've detailed the incidents along with specific times and the nature of the problems encountered. Any guidance or resolution you can provide would be greatly appreciated as these issues affect over 200 participants.

Details of the Issues:

  1. Date and Time of Incident: 13/06/2024, 09:08 Latvian Time (GMT+3)

    • Problem Description: Interruptions during a Zoom meeting where participants and the host were disconnected multiple times within a 5-minute window. Additionally, there were issues starting the meeting, with the platform either not allowing it to start or throwing out participants repeatedly.
    • Impact: Disruption in educational lesson flow, affecting all participants.
  2. Previous Incident Date and Time: 11/06/2024, 19:00 Latvian Time (GMT+3)

    • Problem Description: Online recording failures on several accounts. The meeting stopped and restarted approximately 2-3 times within a 5-minute interval, leading to fragmented recordings.
    • Impact: The need to merge recordings post-meeting, which is not ideal for our documentation and review processes.

Questions for Zoom:

  1. What is the root cause of these disconnections and recording failures?
  2. Are there ongoing issues with the servers that particularly impact our region or account type?
  3. What immediate steps can be taken to prevent future occurrences?
  4. Can you provide a timeframe for when these issues might be resolved?
