Hi,

I run Zoom 5.14.0 on Ubuntu. I also use a lot the Virtual Desktops feature and switch between these desktops while being in a meeting. When doing so, Zoom window automatically minimizes and goes onto the second Virtual Desktop. When coming back to the first desktop, it stays minimized.

Is there a setting to prevent this behavior? Either preventing the window to minimize, or automatically maximize the window when switching back to the first desktop.

Thanks.

One of our staff admins accidentally attempted to create a Zoom account using an email address that was being setup at the time by someone else. As a result, Zoom attempted to send an email to the address which did not yet exist. The email bounced and Zoom appears to have now added that address to the email suppression list.

My question is how to get that address removed from the suppression list since that email address it now in use and published. I've looked at Knowledge Base and Chatbot but can find no information. Does anyone have the answer?

Thanks for your help.

I am wondering whether anyone has encountered a partial conversion of a meeting recording (i.e., only ~45 minutes is converted to video format rather than the full 1.25 hours) and whether a solution has been found.

I am on a Zoom Pro account, version 5.17.10, and was recording the meeting locally. I tried running the two Zoom files meant to begin the video conversion together as well as separately, but none of these things have given me the full recording.

Thanks in advance.

First thank you to anyone who can help me solve this. Thinking about ditching zoom for a different app because of these issues.

I teach classes online. After these latest updates. Zoom with nothing else open uses 100% of my CPU and I have to run my 2-in-1 fully updated Dell xps 15 with my house AC turned down to 50 degrees to allow me to write on the screen with stylus.

I notice using task manager that zoom opens up 13 instances of Microsoft edge webview2 in it's drop down menu. I can't uninstall edge. I am forced to have it. my default browser is set to Firefox. How do I stop this? I also need to be able to reduce the resource hogging of zoom. One app should not be demanding 100% of my cpu and memory also very high. This is causing it to overheat and then the only way I can teach is to unfold the laptop which then doesn't fit on my desk properly and I can't write properly on the screen.
Aside from Zoom opening the Edge webview2 issue, what else can I change without sacrificing the quality of my classes(I need close to instantaneous writing on screen as it's a fast paced class). No one has cameras on.

One last side note: Zoom whiteboard I know have to press 5 buttons to delete page contents and get a fresh whiteboard, It used to be two buttons. trash can then clear screen. Who thought this was a good idea? Further if I change to a new page. My students pages are not changed to that page. They still see page one and don't know I am on page 2 of whiteboard. Did Zoom really not think this update through? Every student must then manually change their page to page 2. so frustrating.

I have been teaching live online classes via zoom for 4 years through an online school that has closed. Many of my students want to continue my classes, and I would like to do this independently. The school I was associated with kept the recordings to offer to the students.  1.  Is there a way for me to charge a monthly fee for the classes through zoom?  2. When I record the classes are they available for me to share with my students via my website, or through email?  3. What type of Zoom account do I need?

Thanks for any info you can share. I would love to talk to a zoom agent, but apparently I do not have the correct account for that.

Randomly Select an Active Participant

Is there a way to randomly select an active participant during a live Zoom meeting? I would like to use this to randomly select students during class but also to hold live raffles during parent/community meetings.

Thanks for the help!

I'm on Zoom One, under a Business price tier, and I had two one-hour meetings scheduled thirty minutes apart and I was the primary host, with multiple colleagues listed as alternative hosts.

According to zoom: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0068522 it is possible for me to host multiple meetings at the same time; however that wasn't the case in this instance.

Before going beyond the point of no return, we even assigned "host" to a meeting attendee outside our organization to try keep the meeting going.

However, that did nothing. We warned the meeting in progress of our embarrassing issue, and how to rejoin a new meeting; and when the new one started the meeting in progress ended for all - and we were forced to end the meeting through a pop-up in Zoom.

Please advise if there is anything I can do to fix this, or if I have read the zoom article incorrectly.
