Hi Everyone, I am Emmanuel Katto from Dubai, I’m having trouble reporting a participant due to a persistent 500 Internal Server Error. We had a person join our meeting using someone else’s name, and after exposing himself, he left. This has happened before, and when we tried reporting him, we got the same error months ago.

Has anyone else experienced this issue when trying to report a participant? Could this be a problem with the reporting form? I’ve tried using both Firefox and Chrome, on desktop and mobile devices, but the issue persists.

Any suggestions or advice on how to resolve this would be really helpful!

Resolved! Zoom App won't launch - Windows/Chrome

When I clicked the meeting link, it would always launch the zoom app and take me to the meeting. Was very stable and working for many years. Suddenly, Zoom app won't launch. Even when I click the "Launch Meeting" button, nothing happens. I'm on Windows 10 and Chrome (latest updates for both). I've tried everything: Restarted PC, Cleared cookies, cleared cache, uninstalled and re-installed the Zoom app, including "Cleanzoom", verified camera and mic permissions, verified updated drivers on camera, even tried editing the "Preferences" file in the default directory as someone has suggested. Nothing has worked and I keep having the same issue. I have another (slightly older) laptop running same Windows/Chrome and everything works perfectly there. Can someone please suggest a solution? Thanks for your support.

So today when I started my Windows 10 zoom meeting client cannot run.
Tried everything from uninstalling zoom, reinstalling zoom version 5.16.2, even using the zoom cleaner, reinstall it again.
And now I'm stuck with zoom meeting client cannot run, and cannot uninstall because of error 10017.
Help please.

Gentoo Linux, kernel 5.15.169

Zoom client v 6.2.6.2503

Microphone: Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Communicate MP/S5500 (046d:09a1)

 

This problem has been happening since a few versions of the Zoom client ago... I think probably since it went up to 6.x.x from 5.x.x, though I didn't note carefully because I don't use Zoom regularly. My kernel has also been upgraded a few times during that period, but was probably just within the 5.15.x range.

 

Audio signal from mic input is severely distorted, to the point where you can't understand what is being said. There's no problem with mic recognition or anything else - it's just the audio quality. Sound from other meeting participants is fine. Very irritating to have to have a separate external cellphone call or something to handle MY audio. I have tested the mic device on a Windows machine and it still works just fine, so the problem is clearly with the Zoom Linux client itself.

 

Any hints about how to deal with this much appreciated, or if it's hopeless, because probably no one at the company honestly gives a ***** about the Linux desktop client and its proper operation with ancient peripheral hardware! Thanks.

We have been experiencing several Zoom meetings over the last several weeks that have been getting "unstable network connections" and freezing video and audio.  We had not been experiencing this for the last several years here in the office with multiple calls happening every day.  Our internet connections speeds have remained very fast and showing no issues during the same time these zoom issues occur. 

 

Is there something we should look at on our Network Firewall that could be impacting this?  We recently did update our Firewall on our network. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Big black box around my zoom recordings when I record locally to my computer.

Video settings I can't see my small picture, only my client in full screen

Any suggestions? Unfortunately, I've clicked and unclicked a bunch of things now so it's really messed up. 

I'm on zoom with patients all day.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am having issues with a user in my company, when she shares her screen, additional boxes (folders or software) don't show, instead there are black boxes. 

i tried comparing configurations on the "Share Screen" sector under Settings with another user who does not have this problem  and it did not help. 

did anyone else have this problem?

Pan Pro, co-hosts trouble shooting

I have the plan PRO for 100 persons, 1 user. That plan does not give me the option to make co-hosts other guests, although a friend of mine has the same plan with the possibility to make others co-hosts. Why I do not have that possibility?

On my Mac Studio (macOS Sequoia 15.1), between 5 and 30 seconds after joining a meeting, I get kicked off with this error:

 

"Unable to join this meeting
The meeting has a problem. Error code: 5"

 

On a MacBook Air I have no problem joining and staying on the meeting using the exact same WiFi network. I have cleared Browser cache and uninstalled the Zoom App multiple times. The display is an Apple Studio Display.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
