There are many advanced, subtle features in Zoom Meetings. However, a significant hole seems to be this: when running breakout rooms, some people may wish to be excluded from all breakout rooms. Other than manually assigning them, or manually moving them after breakout rooms are started, there is no way to make this simpler. Here are some options that would help: 1) Have a feature checkbox to set individual users (set by host or by the user) to not go to breakout rooms, and have an icon in the meeting that shows they have chosen this 2) Designate in settings a character at the start of their name (e.g. * or _) that would automatically prevent them from going to breakout rooms 3) Have an option that if enabled automatically prevents users with no video from going to breakout rooms, since for many meetings, the personal touch in a breakout room means the participants want to see each other The above features would, in my experience, greatly help, in meetings, facilitate the operating of breakout rooms. I have noted in many meetings that the host / co-host asks participants to rename themselves with a special character before the name if they don't want to go to breakout rooms, but then allowing that to be respected automatically rather than needing manual effort, would be helpful. Thanks.

Both of them have the crossed mic, both of them say "Mute", one of them is slightly darker. There is no way to know if you are currently muted or not: Here are the screenshots for your puzzlement.

When I am using Zoom and my physical environment is noisy, my Zoom audio gets super distorted, and I can no longer understand what the person speaking to me is saying. The AI chatbot was not helpful, and I can't find a clear, direct answer to my problem through searching. I use a MacBook Air and A2031 AirPods (2021). I have tried checking settings on both my AirPods and on Zoom, and I have tried "Test Speaker." The problem is that when I am on a call, the volume levels of my physical environment seem to suppress/distort the sound on my receiving end, to the point I can't understand words being spoken to me. Does anyone have any suggestions of how can I fix this issue?

This month, the Zoom desktop app has been taking forever to join meetings and then allow me to join audio, meaning I miss the first 5-7 minutes of meetings I try to join. A workaround I've found is using the Zoom app on my phone to join (I am not having the same issues there) until my desktop connects, and then switching but this is still an issue if I need to share my screen. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the Zoom app on desktop on my laptop (PC, Lenovo Thinkpad). And am having the same issues. Has anyone experienced this and found a resolution?

Hi, In our current project, we were previously using Twilio for one-on-one video meetings. Now, we're planning to migrate to Zoom. Currently, we're using a free Zoom account with a server-to-server OAuth app to create meetings and generate signatures. We are able to create meetings. However, we're encountering a token expiration error, even though the expiration is set to one day while joining the meeting from frontend. Could you suggest an approach to resolve this issue or recommend the best account type for this migration? Our tech stack includes React JS for the frontend and PHP for the backend. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IhGYVq5cMdboGTpvLUlWafgW7aKyFXn6/view?usp=sharing

Greetings, Last week, I converted a recurring webinar (with registration) to a recurring meeting: https://community.zoom.com/t5/Zoom-Events-and-Webinars/Converting-Recurring-Webinar-to-Meeting/td-p/208342 An hour before the 1st converted-meeting started, I resent a confirmation e-mail to a registered participant. However, upon clicking the button, the upcoming meetings were deleted. I am now only shown the meeting for today, but not for the upcoming days. The list of registered participants has also been deleted (luckily I kept track in an Excel sheet). Since I am only shown the converted meeting for today, I am not sure if I should modify it to a recurring meeting for the upcoming days, since the link is still valid and the participants have received that link (same ID and passcode). Please tell me how to proceed: If I convert it to a recurring meeting, will the same link the participants received when they registered for the webinar be kept? I also checked on 'Recently deleted', but I am not shown any meeting has been deleted. It seems as if after resending the confirmation e-mail, the recurring meeting turned into a single meeting.

When I log in to the Zoom Meeting application using Google, the profile photo in the Zoom Meeting application always changes according to my Google account. How can I prevent the profile photo from being used by Zoom Meeting?

I finished recent Zoom update (within the last 2 weeks) and now when I share my screen during a Zoom meeting, it show any participant of my meeting big grey boxes wherever there's a Zoom screen open (like chat or the toolbars). Is there a workaround for this? It didn't happen before the update and is preventing me from effectively hosting meetings where i need to screenshare (which is almost all of them).
