Hey! I have this problem where this purple icon appears on all my popup Windows when remote access. When my tutor tries to close the windows he can't, it only shows a dropdown menu for me. How do I disable it?

Zoom version: 5.15.5

All drivers are up to date. I was previously having a lot of issues with Windows on my computer (and audio crackling on Zoom all the time, no matter what) so I reset the laptop to factory settings only a month ago. Since then, Zoom is working better, however, the audio crackles/pops when someone in the meeting shares a screen (I'm not sure if it happens if I share my own screen-- I don't think I have done that yet.) It's unbearable.

Hey everyone,

I'm currently facing some issues with my ethernet adapters while using Zoom Rooms 5.10.3. Whenever I connect to a meeting, the connection tends to drop intermittently, or the audio/video quality degrades unexpectedly. I've tried basic troubleshooting like restarting my router and updating the network drivers, but the problem still persists.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with their ethernet adapters and Zoom Rooms version 5.10.3? Any advice on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Jonathan Jone

I have wired headphones connected to my laptop with Windows 11. All my audio comes through the headphones except for Zoom. Things I have tried:

Making sure my Zoom audio output is configured to work with the headphones

Making sure that the Windows audio settings are correct

Making sure that the individual application (Zoom) is configured to send its audio output to the headphones

But nothing works! What else should I try?

I have being using Zoom to livestream events at the Birthplace of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. While video and speech is OK I have been unable to get any usable sound from musicians. The latest were a saxophone, electronic piano and guitar which were either inaudible or very very lumpy. Audience clapping also cuts out. I can send a short clip if needed.

The following is what I have been using - any help would keep me sane!

Tongveo PTZ camera

Blue Yeti microphone

Asus Vivobook laptop Windows 11

OBS Studio 30.0.2 Sample rate 48kHz

VB – Audio Virtual Cable

Zoom

Original Sound for Musicians ON

            High Fidelity Music Mode ON

            Echo Cancellation ON

Automatically adjust mic volume ON

Advanced

Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers OFF

Echo Cancellation AUTO

Unable to share screen with participants in breakout rooms

There seems to be some problem with our company's pro account - we are unable to share screen when we place participants in break out rooms.

Also, I am unable to get live chat support in this account - why is that please?

Can a Host record, or is a Moderator needed to record a Toastmaster speech?  The Zoom is paid for by a Toastmaster District, which allows multiple clubs to use Zoom.

But Zoom automatically moves the meeting controls to the secondary monitor, therefore I cannot open Q&A during the presentation, nor control shares.

How to show Meeting Controls on a different monitor?

In one of the Zoom meetings I run, I use a meditation bell. On my other computers, the sound is clearly heard by participants if I turn Zoom noise suppression to low or use the original sound setting. On my new HP Laptop 17, it is suppressed regardless of Zoom settings, including when "original audio" is turned on. The suppression occurs whether I use the internal microphone or the one on my Logitech webcam.

I found and turned off noise suppression in the "HP audio center" app, but the meditation bell is still being filtered out. I've also disabled enhancements in the sound card.

HP support had no suggestion other than to try their for-a-fee support team.

Any suggestions welcome, as this is an essential part of this meeting.
