Hi there...

I had no issue with Zoom keeping me signed in (recognizing me as host, etc) until I installed the Zoom plug-in on my Google Calendar app on iOS. As a result, often, when I join meetings my profile photo doesn't appear in 'camera off' mode.

Now I have to sign in every morning, and frequently have to 'sign in as host' when I click through on a calendar invite to my own meeting.

Is there a fix for this?

I normally join my Zoom meetings from a MacBook Pro.  Sometimes I use my Airpods as the speaker and microphone.  Sometimes I use the built in speakers and microphone on the MacBook itself.  My MacBook is connected to a docking station which does not have speakers or a microphone.  After a Zoom call where I was using my Airpods, if I have disconnected my Airpods from my MacBook, Zoom defaults to my docking station for the speakers and microphone.  Since it doesn't have either the results are: I cannot hear anyone on the call, and they cannot hear me.  The work around is to change the audio settings back to my built-in speakers and microphone.

I'm wondering if I can either configure Zoom to always use my built-in speakers and microphone by default?  If not is there a way I can configure it to never use my docking station speakers and mic?  I don't see anything like that in the settings but thought I would ask.

Hi all,

So at the office, there were 15+ employees that joined the same video group video meeting on the same LAN network, the same firewall, the same internet connection, and in the same building.  They all complained about the video freezing,  poor resolution, and low frames rate.

The group video meeting was started using a free account. That will explain the low 640X360 Res and Frames rate based on this thread, https://community.zoom.com/t5/Meetings/Video-Resolutions/m-p/4370#M1840

The office internet is a dedicated 300/300 Mbps from a fiber ISP and has an oversized (NGFW) firewall that can handle  350K connections for 75 employees.  We ran 2nd test with 15 participants that join the same group meeting. The internet BW was not maxed out and the FW was not overloaded.  But, the participants are having the same freezing issue

Does the free account has any more restrictions?  Such as, the Maximum number of zoom clients/Participants can join behind a single  NATed public ip address?

Thanks

The Tired IT Tech.

When I connect to Zoom, my video is now presenting with random flashes of white and black lines flashing across it. This just started this week in Zoom calls. Other people in the call see it and find it distracting. I see that when I look at my feed as well. No other video feeds are showing those flashes, just my video feed. The flashes are only in my Zoom video feed, not on my monitors or other videos I am viewing. I do not get those flashing lines using this same camera in Google Meet or Skype. I am running Windows 11 on a Dell Precision 5560.

I rebooted. Did not fix.
I power cycled. Did not fix.

I tried camera in a different USB port. Did not fix.

I checked and I have all Windows updates.

I checked and my BIOS is updated.

I checked and I have current video drivers.

I checked and I have the newest version of Zoom 64 bit.

In Zoom:

I tried Original Ratio on and off. Both have the issue.

I tried HD on and off. Both have the issue.

I tried Enhance My Appearance on and off. Both have the issue.

Does any one know if there are any issues with screensharing (freezing/black screen) when using Monterey Mac OS and leveraging a wired connection? I spend days finding the workaround for Big Sur (using TCP connection). I have to host several webinars a week and am the person who screenshares. I don't want the same horrors as happen with Big Sur.

Any experience of successfully screensharing with Monterey and wired connection (wireless no good for me).

Thanks.
