My Voice Cannot Be Heard By Anyone When Someone Else Unmutes Their Microphone
I'm part of an organization that has standing Zoom Rooms our members can enter at any time. We have classes throughout the week in these rooms. During class, everyone can hear me perfectly fine, and we can talk back and forth with one or two people's microphones unmuted. However, occasionally, when a particular person unmutes their microphone, suddenly, no one can hear my voice. My microphone is still unmuted, and I still see the "green level meter" move within the microphone icon, however, no one can hear me. The issue is often resolved by requesting everyone to mute their microphones, and only one person at a time unmute their mic when speaking, then quickly mute themselves afterward. This issue occurs sporadically, but often enough that I remind all of the students to keep their microphones muted at the beginning of each class. Multiple instructors all have this same sporadic issue. What is going on? I'm on a Mac Book Pro late 2018 model. On Zoom v6.1.11. This has happened to me on multiple Zoom versions. It also happens to others in our organization on Windows and macOS computers. The only quick solution I've found is to use the "Mute All except host" feature to mute everyone else.
