Hi, I use Zoom under Linux Mint, and it was recently that I lost ability to pin group chat participants.

The "Pin" menu item is still available, but nothing happens when I select it. Participant layout does not change.

My Zoom version is 6.4.6 (1370), installed as Flatpak.
My OS is Linux Mint 21.1.

Meeting ID - Invalid 12 digit ID

Hello, need help with meeting ID.

I was recently given a 12 digit number meeting ID and was not able to input all 12 digit as the limit was only up to 11 digit however the host informed that she had more than 30 participant whom had joined the session using the same meeting ID. Has anyone experienced this and advise how to resolve the issue?

My microphone has suddenly stopped working.  Getting message  "Failed to detect your microphone"  "There seems to be an issue with your microphone."  It worked fine last week - have NOT done anything to change things since then.  Can anyone help?  I have a zoom job interview in 6 hours!!

Searching for a future meeting by the meeting ID

Sorry, this seems like a basic question, but I can't seem to find the answer on my own.

 

I have admin access for Zoom at our org.  There is an upcoming meeting that I need to make some changes to, but all I have is the meeting ID.  I don't know who the host is.

 

Is there a place in the admin dashboard where I can search for future meetings by the ID?  Or do I have to figure out who the host is and find it that way?

Resolved! Set up a reoccurring meeting with no specific host

We are a team of 10, we have a daily catch-up call every morning where anyone who is not busy with a priority task jumps on the scheduled reoccurring Zoom call.

We don't know exactly who will be on the call each day, so I've made all ten of us co-hosts. It appears that whoever joins first becomes the host, which is fine.

The problem is that if that person leaves the meeting the Zoom session is stopped and everyone gets bumped off unless the person leaving remembers to reassign the host role.

Is there anyway to define a reoccurring Zoom meeting person with having a host?

Zoom Workplace desktop no longer operates on my computer. I have been using the browser version for the last month or so but I would like to troubleshoot the desktop version. When I select Zoom either using the StartMenu icon or by directly double-clicking on the Zoom application, I seemingly get no response whatsoever. I see no delay, window opening or other indication that the program has attempted to run. There are no Zoom processes in Task Manager....not even briefly.

It also does not launch from a browser or email/appointment link.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times with reboots between the steps. I have run the CleanZoom program. Zoom does show in my Apps list but the "Modify" option is grayed out. I am not experiencing problems with other programs. I've cleared caches, deleted cookies. I've also run CCleaner.

 

I browsed other messages here in the community but did not find additional suggestions.

 

Configuration:

Microsoft Surface Pro 9; 16GB RAM; 477GB flash drive (249 available); i7 12th Gen

Windows 11 Pro 24H2 with all current updates.

Aside from Microsoft365, there are few other programs on the device (no gaming whatsoever, for example).

No 3rd party antivirus (only Windows Defender).
