I was on a call with my therapist just now and I could hear a male voice talking, although there was no one else on the zoom call with us. It sounded as if he was talking to someone else (like he was on another call) and couldn't hear us. This lasted for about 15 minutes, while I closed all other taps and apps on my computer, thinking it could be a video playing or another programme running in the background. The voice continued intermittently, and eventually we ended the call and continued on another platform. Very freaky! How did this happen, and are there any settings I should be using to prevent this?

I've got two issues with freezes under zoom. Both started happening after I added a webcam to my system. Before I'd join the meeting with my iPad (for the camera) and my desktop (for screen sharing). Now with the web cam:

1. Randomly, my wireless mouse stops working. I need to unplug and plug in the receiver to get the mouse working again.

2. If I try to screen share, the zoom app freezes up and I need to force quit and rejoin the meeting.

I'm running Zoom client Version: 5.9.3 (1911) under Linux/debian.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
Yesterday a colleague of mine ran a zoom meeting for which we cannot find the recording. I sent the invite for the meeting so the Zoom link was coming from my account but I only briefly joined the session (just to allow the recording of it).
At that point, the host appeared to be the room from where my colleague was presenting it. Neither of us can find the recording of the meeting in their Zoom account. Can you please help?

I have Zoom recordings saved locally that include two files labeled “Click to Convert 1” and “Click to Convert 2.” After converting them, I only get the audio — the video does not play.

Details:

  • Device Type: Windows 11 PC

  • Zoom Version: Version: 6.4.7 (64367)

  • Error Messages: No specific error message appears — just no video playback

  • Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

    • Attempted reconversion

    • Tried playing the files in different media players

    • Reinstalled Zoom

Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Why my local recording is in 1920x2560 ratio?

Hi I have one meeting recorded on my computer was in wired ratio, 1920x2560, which makes the side-by-side view very tiny to watch. The recording I made on the day before or after that all had no issue at all. Seems just this meeting got this problem.... Show more

Hi

I have one meeting recorded on my computer was in wired ratio, 1920x2560, which makes the side-by-side view very tiny to watch. The recording I made on the day before or after that all had no issue at all. Seems just this meeting got this problem.

Any idea what the reason of this? I didn't find any settings to change the horizontal or vertical.

Thanks

Hi all,

With the latest update to the Zoom app on my Mac, the layout has changed again- where I used to be able to open the app to a page that very easily let me click "start" for a new (unscheduled) meeting with my PMI, now none of the options are as easily accessible. Is there any way to revert back to the old interface or find the page I'm looking for?

This sounds stupid, but as a therapist with many sessions a day, I really just want to be able to open the app and easily click start. Thanks for any advice!

Rachel

Every time we schedule a webinar, we set the time zone as Mountain Time US & Canada. However, the signup page for our webinars always say "Edmonton" for the location. This is causing confusion for a lot of people, because we do hybrid events where the in-person component takes place in Calgary, but the sign up page is wrongfully telling them the event is in Edmonton! Please provide some way of correcting this. There honestly should just be one choice that says "Mountain Time US & Canada". The "Edmonton" time zone is doing nothing but causing confusion and headaches.
