Since upgrading to Windows 11 (regular end-user track--nothing Insider), I've found a Zoom session (using the Zoom client) often eventually produces a "Low system resources may affect your audio quality. Try closing some applications to improve performance" Windows "overlay" error warning/message (attached). I'm using a decently powerful PC (obviously powerful enough for MSFT to say it's fine for Win11), 32G RAM, TB4 to 5K monitor, gigabit internet, 100mbps wifi, so I don't really think there's anything about my system which should so easily be actually overstressed. If I ignore the warning, my audio will start to stutter. If I close an application, the problem's better for a few minutes, then returns. It only happens "well into" a Zoom (at least a half-hour in). The Zoom session need not be anything special; today's was only five participants. I can't (or don't know how to) know that it's actually Win11-related, or even that it's Zoom-related, but it started immediately after I upgraded from Win10 to Win11, and it only happens when I Zoom (not when I Teams, Meet, jit.si, BlueJeans, Signal, WhatsApp, whatever). It might seem more likely to happen when at least one person's screenshared.

It's a bit reminiscent of the "low GDI handles" problem Windows had 15-20 yrs ago. It feels as if the Zoom session is somehow "cumulatively using up" my resources, which makes no sense to me.

Yes, I run lots of stuff on my PC--but nothing actually stressful for today's tech.

Anyone seen anything similar?

Better yet, anyone have any thoughts about how to prevent/mitigate/remediate?

The "Edit Next Session" is a useful feature. However, the problem is that it resets the breakout rooms settings instead of using the same settings already in use for current breakout rooms.

The Options are reset for no reason - not even to my default options. E.g. the timer is reset to 60 seconds, even if my default is set to 10 seconds.

This is confusing and unnecessary.

Hi all, I'm currently getting emails asking me to join a currently running zoom meeting around 5-15 times per day. Here's the strange part: I do not know the person that seemingly invites me to join the meeting, I have all e-mail notifications turned off in my zoom account settings and am only getting the notifications on my outlook email client app on my iPhone. Especially weird: when I tap on the notification, no such email seemingly exists. Is there any way I can stop getting more of these emails? So far it has gotten pretty annoying.

Kind regards,

Moritz

Hi,

We are deploying Zoom Meetings 5.14.17466 to all our devices with Intune.
The deployment works well. We use the command below:

msiexec /i ZoomInstallerFull.msi ZSilentStart=true zConfig="AU2_EnableAutoUpdate=1" /qn /norestart

We set these group policies:
Enable client to auto update = Enabled
Set auto update schedule = Enabled
Set the update channel list = Enabled
Set to enable auto update installation when idle = Enabled
Set to enable the auto-update feature = Enabled
Set to install auto updates within a specified time period = Enabled
Set to prompt the user to update when exiting a meeting or webinar if an update is available = Enabled

However, we have noticed that Zoom does not update itself automatically. Zoom is installed in the computer context, and the logged-in users work without administrative permissions. What can we change to make Zoom update automatically?

Resolved! Cloud storage

I just recorded a test meeting and saved it in the cloud.

Can someone please tell me where I access the cloud?

It's not obvious as when I record to my laptop, a separate window opens showing the recordings.

Thanks,

David

"I'm having the same issue exactly as described. Android Zoom app refuses to send audio to any bluetooth speaker that doesn't have a microphone. It would be much better if I could listen to presentations, large group meetings, etc. via an external speaker which can achieve much higher volume than my phone device can."

I am using ipad7 and android phone. And my speaker is Britz bluetooth speaker.

How may I solve this problem?
