Changing Default Email Client when sending invites.

I'm looking to change the Email Client default for when I send out Invitations, where as it would select choosen email client that I want rather than Microsoft outlook. How do I go about doing that? Zoom Support Articles are quite horrible.

When I turn off my video, my avatar no longer appears, just the black box

When I turn off my video during meeting, a black box appears.  My avatar used to appear.  I wonder if it has anything to do with the new Apple OS I just downloaded - Ventura OS 13.2.1 ...

If anyone can offer a solution to this I would be very grateful.

I have a Lenovo laptop from 2021, this is an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz.  With 16G of RAM.

However, when I run zoom it can BARELY function.  When I go to screen share Zoom consumes over 1.5GB of memory, and is killed by the OOM killer on Ubuntu 22.10.  This is version 5.13.4 (711).

I have performance analyzed Zoom, and it seems to unnecessarily consume a lot of resources --

1. RAM utilization , 9.8% ( ~1.5G )

2. CPU utilization ( ~9%) at idle.

3. Threads - 74(!!)

I attempted to attach as a TXT file (but the extension .txt is not supported) - here are the open filehandles fo the main thread.

Additionaly startup of the app, and doing a screen-share results in this flame chart -- notice the numbeer of concurrent threads firing near instantaneously.  Apply the "perf.svg?x=1136.7&y=2069"  to a browser to walk through the flame chart.  ( this is attached below,  this box does not permit .svg files for some reason, so, please rename the extension when you grab it ).

Additionally, I see a CRAZY amount of polling on filehandles when using strace to track.  This is likely the culprit in pushing up the CPU utilization so high !  Please, stop POLLING !

Please see "furtherdetails.thisisa.txt.png"  Rename the file to be a TXT file to get the contents.

Can developers please take a look at this and optimize performance ?

Poll will indicate 100% completion by participants.  Host will close poll, but several participants report not having completed or submitting the poll.  If "completion" means submitted then that data is inaccurate, if not can we have an indication of how many polls have been submitted? Data show typical progress, for example: "21 of 35 responses complete 60%". Eventually it will show "35 of 35 responses complete 100%".  But there are respondents who are still working and have not completed(answered all the questions on the poll) OR submitted the poll.  Is there a bug in the poll, or does "100% completed" mean something else?

Hey guys, we are a Citrix XenApp published desktop environment (similar to the old school MS Terminal Serivces).  I have one user that receives the popup Your app version need to be 5.4.6 or higher to sign in.  I can login and on same XenApp host and my zoom doesn't give me this error.  I do have the following installed on the XenApp hosts, all hosts have the same image build using Citrix PVS services.

Zoom Clinet for VDI - 5.13.22610

Zoom Outlook Plugin - 5.13.5

Zoom Plugin for Citrix Receiver - 5.13.22610

So clearly our version is well above the 5.4.6.

I have tried renaming all zoom related content/folders in the users AppData directories in their profile.  Didn't help.

Any ideas?

When using a live realtime captioner in Zoom, the captions appear as one continuous line.  People need to be able to view a new speaker speaking on a new line.  Example:

>> JOHN:  Hi, how are you?

>> SALLY:  I am fine.

It currently appears this way:  >> JOHN: Hi, how are you?  >> SALLY:  I am fine.

The captioning community and the Deaf and hard-of-hearing participants respectfully request this be fixed.  We have been asking for many weeks and this is still a problem that needs to PLEASE be fixed.   This concern is not being seriously addressed at all.

Our district has a plan for eLearning days in the event of inclement weather, emergency, etc. We had an eLearning day in February and had MASSIVE issues with Zoom. We believe the issue is that Zoom links expire.  In our preparation and roll out of the plan, staff created links in December and placed them in a post that stayed in draft form until an eLearning  day is called.

What would be the BEST and most reliable way for staff to create Zoom links?
